+crisisbbf For the cases where a chain selector is not available, generally they cannot be played on the MK2. Personally I have tried to manually remap the keys but they don't normally line up correctly. If you see the channels in the upper left corner of the screen when you go into MiDi mode, you can try double clicking them. That may bring a "hidden" chain selector up. But otherwise, there isn't a way that I know of.

+HanelimTR Unfortunately, since I only use Ableton live lite, I cannot save a project file that has been correctly modified. Try working with a fresh download of the project file and make sure you follow the steps correctly. The order of which modes you are in matters a lot. If there is no sound, make sure your output settings are correctly configured.

I downloaded someone's project file and I can play just fine. The project file was made for the launchpad s so the lights won't work on my mk2. I followed your tutorial and it won't give me the "change selection" option. Any ideas?

+Mark Camacho Hmm which project file. Sometimes the chain selector (that's what I think you are referring to) isn't available because the creator of the song didn't include one. If that is the case then I don't know of a way to remap the keys. But, in your case you say you can play the file fine but the lights don't work? I would think you may have an issue with your lights settings. Make sure you are on launchpad output and channel 6.

+xDarkTeddyBear Well okay, here's the deal. I can't find an easy way to fix a project file without a chain selector. Remapping all the keys doesn't seem to work. However, you can try double clicking the chain selectors on the upper left side of the screen at 0:57. You might get lucky and there will be a "hidden" chain selector attached. I'll still mess around with it but as of right now this is the best I can do. Sorry man and best of luck.

Bottom line is: if there is a chain selector your good. If you can find it by clicking on the other channels then your also good. If it isn't there then there isn't anything you can do.

+Thomas Zottos Hmm process should be the same. Try doing a fresh download of the project file. When you get to the screen that looks like 0:51 double click on each of the 4 channels in the upper left corner. Each one that had a chain selector, change it to channel 6. That worked for me. If you run into more difficulties, let me know and I will make a video taking you through it step by step.

Try opening a fresh copy of the project file and doing the process from the beginning. Make sure you do the steps correctly. If you press buttons on the launchpad in wrong orders it won't map correctly.

I tried to look for a way to remap the keys for virus but I was not successful. Try playing a different song maybe? See if you are good enough to play M4Sonic's song. Are you sure you are in the correct mode? You have to be in user 1 mode first. Make sure you switch to user 1 then open up the chain selector then press Volume and Record Arm. Try watching the video again. Order matters a lot.

I have found that the launchpad can be very sensitive at times. Try reopening the project a few times or re-plugging in the launchpad. Also, make sure that you have your output settings configured. I have a different video showing how you set it up.

The equinox project is a little iffy. It doesn't work with the new launchpad. The project just cannot be remapped to work on the new launchpad. I have tried doing different things and it doesn't work. However, most other project files should work just fine!
