Judas Priest! First rock concert I ever attended! 1982, and I was 12. Great memories!

Look up 'Heavy Metal Paking Lot' you wont regret it. Then look up American Hi Fi's 'Flavor of the Weak' parody.

Nicely done and as you said, great tune for beginners! And as challenging as some of their other songs are to play, their harder to sing! Halford was an operatic animal!

I learned this song years ago but the solo is in a different position but I like the way that you play it it's easier thank you so much for sharing your awesome talent.

When I learn a solo I try my best to think intuitively, as to the easiest and most economical position on the fretboard to play it. Sometimes that's not exactly where the original guitarist played it however.

What a great song, and a great tutorial! Thank you for sharing. I learned this song way back when I was initially and heavily getting into the metal scene and mostly just playing metal riffs on my guitar. I especially liked this riff due to its simplicity. Although technically I had always been playing it correctly (chord wise and rhythm wise) I noticed you played it in different positions (understanding 2 different guitar tracks on the original studio recording). An easy remedy to ensure it sounds better next time I jam on it with just one guitar. I'm not exactly sure why I hadn't picked up on this fact in the 34 years I've been jamming on it. I usually discover improved upon positions (sound wise) for almost everything I've ever initially learned. For some reason, and I have no idea why, I didn't do that with this tune. But now that I see you playing it in the different positions, I will definitely be playing it as you did; hence, when playing alone by myself, I think it sounds much better ridin' that E5 in the higher position (root note A string) then dropping to the heavier E string and bouncing off the G note. --- Thanks again Kelly!

Please consider covering Minstrel In The Gallery someday. There doesn't seem to be any good tutorials on such a great song. I'm currently learning the Aqualung solo from your video you put out 4 years ago.

Hm... I still think that Judas Priest stole this riff from UFO's "Too Hot to Handle." Ah, but what do I know? To me, Sabbath's "Never Say Die" riff sounds like "The Boys are Back in Town: Part II"
