Dumb non-musician question (but I love music): what is the time signature on this song? I can't quite get 4/4 out of it, and it doesn't sound like 3/4, but the first line talks about "waltzing" and things are rarely an accident with her. I know "Peter" is a waltz. But is this just 4/4 or ...what?

Pretty sure it’s in 4/4 but I’m no expert in theory! 20 years of playing and I can barely sight read these days haha. Unfortunately I think waltzing was a red herring

If you count the beat with the playing of my thumb I’m pretty sure it gets you to 4/4

It’s so hard to tell, but I think I faintly hear an E as the last note of the phrase each time in the right. Or maybe not every time? Anyway ,..don’t worry about the piano. It does the job
