Note that legends rarely go through big changes and this guide will be viable for a long time. 2/13/24 Comments: Catalyst still is a great legend although she has had some nerfs over the seasons. She also now has legend upgrades! CHANGES TO CATALYST SINCE THE LAUNCH OF THIS VIDEO: Season 20: - Ultimate Lifetime decreased to 15s (was 25s) - Ultimate Length decreased to 40m (was 55m) - She now has legend upgrades. Season 18: Ultimate cooldown increased to 150S (From 120S) Season 17: Scan Highlights & Diamonds are no longer visible through the Dark Veil. Season 16: No Legend changes. She is now a Controller Legend meaning she can ping recon beacons. Post S15 Launch: Seers passive heartbeat sensor no longer works through Catalysts Ultimate Wall.

I never knew that they needed the ult like that, I only just got back in this season recently and got back to playing catalyst and there have definitely been times where the ult felt like It didn't last as long as it used to or didn't go as far as it used to, kind of a shame that they basically just took some of the base stats of the ult and forced you to pick which one you get with her purple upgrades.

Yes, and perhaps make it a bit taller. And they need to fix the bug where you can't reload by her tactical on controller. That's a bug that's gotten me killed a few times.

If seer or bloodhound activate their ability and she is out of range but you know they used their ability you can use her ult they see you but can't get through the wall it'll slow them down

I did a 20 bomb 5 K damage on catalyst and so far your use of catalyst is more accurate of her strength compared to other videos I’ve seen. Good job.

She needs her tactical buffed from 2 traps to 3. She’s the only defensive legend that doesn’t have 3 charges for her tactical. Also feel like the wall should go up a bit faster. Feels like it takes forever starting up.

I have to say that my least favorite interaction in the game rn is Maggie’s wrecking ball bouncing off of reinforced doors. Makes no sense to me at all lol especially since grenades and damage abilities break it

It should at least break the door even if the ball explodes on contact, that would be ideal. Idk why they didn't do that when they recently made that change for Gibby's bubble.

When she was released for some reason I thought she could fortify other structures like newcastles ult and ramparts tactical

Changes I’d love to see: 1. Her Tactical no more slows teammates (Wattsons electricity doesnt stun teammates) 2. Wall counters scans that already happened as wall goes up and any scans that want to go through 3. If she can have 3 traps down, why not 3 doors max trapped as well 4. Ability to Rotate her tactical, maybe right click for rotation 5. Stronger slow on spikes/more consistent damage, people stay on it or walk through it like it aint even there( I tested it, in 10 fights I had, in every single one where I had my spikes down, enemies walked/jumped over it or stayed in it for few secs and it was no threat for them)

Catalysts ult needs to change from straight on to sideways so when you toss it you can actually set up a wall that blocks off the enemy

Simply use the tactical. You can only hold 2 charges but once you get a refresh, you can put down a third.

If you're new, it really depends on your play style, if you want you could get catalyst first as I don't think she's been nerfed yet (if she even gets nerfed) but loba is good, so is octane, mirage, caustic, etc, it really depends on your play style and your skill level/what you want to learn ^_^ there's heaps of great videos out there for tutorials too!

Hey guys question, I play apex on PC and catalyst passive is not binded to a key , when I look through setting I don't see which setting to edit so that I can bind a key, help me out.

Telli, it’s called Alternative Interact or Alternate Interact, should be closer to the top of keybinds. It actually does say: If you click info on her, it says whatever button you have there, on the info page. The default is N or T I think, but may differ for you. I put mine to be when I press my middle mouse button, I think anything on mouse for that is ideal.

Even if I would play as catalyst, she could be my top favorite character. Same with bloodhound. I could imagine that apex legends would have a mass effect crossover event in the near future. BTW, I like TDM and control in apex.
