yeah, it'd be cool to see that type of smoke applied to other maps as well, where it blocks an angle off through the wall

@@mahone_tv Can't think of many were you can block good angles. Possbily Overpass Grafitti maybe but there are easy enought smokes that do the job with a "proper" smoke. I think that's the thing, in most cases the default way to block it is possible from almost the same position where you are. The verticality of the apts and the fact that they are closed off play a role here. But the concept alone is nice. There are certainly situations where that might help you otherwise, to get out when pinned down or so.

this g2 team was so versatile, anybody on that team could play any role and they really had some unique team plays, hope they can do the same with niko now but it'll definitely take some time

Great video, ty!! I have a few questions, so is it okay to walk up underpass if I don't have any teammates top mid? Because I'm worried they can flash me and I'd have no cover if I'm already in the middle of underpass. And how does the interaction between the T and CT both pushing underpass with a flash? Assuming they both had decent spawns? Is there any counterplay to that besides just playing antiflash on top of underpass/apts?

Thanks! To answer your questions: It is fine to go up underpass if you have no teammates top mid, but they should at least throw a top mid smoke or a window smoke to at least put pressure on the CTs that there could be Ts at top mid. Usually when CTs peek towards underpass or make plays in the middle area, it's because the Ts haven't thrown any utility to deny information/establish control. If your team isn't throwing any smokes at all for you at mid, you can also pick different times where you move up underpass. This way, you're forcing the CTs to pick the right timing to flash and hopefully you're not in underpass when they decide to do so. Another alternative is to get your teammates to put pressure elsewhere on the map: get them to put pressure on A so that the connector player focuses more on A, or put pressure on B so that the cat player focuses more on B, that way it leaves only 1 mid/window player. When there's only 1 mid/window player, he's less likely to make aggressive info plays like this. If they both have the best spawns, they meet roughly at the corner of underpass (where the stairs and the runway meet). I think if both the CT and the T meet at this angle, it's basically a 50/50 fight. The CT's counter would be to stay at the cutout of underpass (same spot that I showed syrsoN play in this video) and the T's counter would be to stay up at the top of stairs, so it's really a matter of picking the right choice at the right time if it's truly a 1v1 fight. An alternative is to bring a teammate with you that scales along the stairs with you and holds the angle wide, while you go down the stairs close and play anti-flash. At minimum this should be a trade. However keep in mind that the CTs can do the exact same thing from the other side. :P I don't think there's really a true counter here, but as you said the safest approach would be to simply stay at the top of stairs. Hope this helped!
