Hi guys, I have been watching your tactical Tuesdays podcasts and I think you guys have helped me to really up my game to a strong poker player. I used to watch little videos also but yours I find much more simple to understand and apply to actual gameplay, don’t tell Little 😂. One quick question for you if you have the time. I was playing recently 1/2 no limit Holdem. I raised from the (forgot what position I was in) with KK and the player to my direct left called. This guys appeared to be a regular and was watching the World Cup games most of the time (we were playing while the World Cup was ongoing) the flop was 9TK rainbow, I bet 1/2 pot the guy goes all in. I called and got stacked he floped a straight. No help from turn or river could not make a boat. I have learned a lot from you now, but was that call I made a mistake, what do you think? Thank you. @@lazydude2384 hey Johan… appreciate the kind words, I promise not to tell JL 😂 There are some helpful details missing in your question that you should always be thinking about like the stack depth (math always plays a role in decision making) but, outside of some outliers, I can’t ever imagine folding here. Vs a straight you still win 30% of the time and when villain has two pair or a set you win 98ish% of the time. Hope this helps!

Thank you very much guys, at that moment I believe the SPR for the villain before going all in was 3.1 and for me after he jammed was 1.7. Now that you guys mentioned math and SPR I just have one last question. Regarding SPR would you guys say it is used mostly mathematically betting wise or can be used as well to classify villains (human nature) regarding bet sizes since the villain was all in with a medium one consequently implying a very strong hand in their range, thanks.

@ SPR is generally used to dictate your sizing schemes or sizing schemes you expect to face… more relevant in almost every situation are the pot odds, which I would also think about whenever facing a bet or when betting myself (you’re laying villain a price)
