YOU GOT IT! But I'm also gonna post a random P-Funk video in a few minutes from years ago, but that one has been in the can and just sitting on a hard drive for years. Must be aboout 10 or more years ago!

Evan, re Phil, please do more! Lots of people teach the notes on the neck, modes etc; but no one teaches Phil style!

Absolutely please dig into Phil’s style more. His playing is an enigma and if there’s any rhyme or reason to it I struggle to see it. I’d love to learn how he sees the fretboard.

I've been playing Grateful Dead covers in a couple/few difft bands for 30+ years, but it would appear I could learn quite a bit from you. I think I might approach playing GD songs in a difft way, I certainly "nod" to Phil's style, have stolen countless licks from him, but in general I try to give those songs the "feel of Phil" while playing much more like a traditional bass player than Phil actually does. I have many, Many, MANY questions for you, starting with how many bases do you have? Do you prefer the Bongo Music Man bases to the Stingray? And that Fender Jazz bass that is blue on the outside and fades to black in the middle, that is a beautiful instrument. I have a G&L L200 that is the opposite, black on the outer edge fading to blue in the middle (blue burst). I have an Ibanez acoustic guitar that is the same color too,not planned, just happened. I'd love to correspond with you a little. I'll keep watching your vids, I like most of the music and your style of playing. Keep on keepin on

I apologize for having not gotten back to you yet! It was certainly not because I was ignoring you. I just have a life and a daughter and sometimes my bass playing and my youtube videos are secondary to me on terms of the important things in my life. Hopefully you can understand that. Also, I will answer every single question you asked and more. but I honestly don't currently have the time to go into the detail of the answers I would actually like to give you. I might as soon as later tonight or tomorrow morning haha, but that's just how my life is. I appreciate the hell out of you just even watching my videos in a world filled with endless other content to watch, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Add Jack Casady technique please!?

I can look into it. I always liked Surrealistic Pillow, but I honestly never loved Jack Casady. I respect the hell out of him and he's clearly a legend, but for some reason his playing never that big of an impact for me personally.

I just posted a video the other day saying that more is definitely coming! I would never accept a penny from anyone for doing this, though. It's not my music, it's not my livelihood that keeps food on the table and a roof over my family's head. It's just me giving advice and tips. I will continue to do it for free in order to just help spread more knowledge and tips that I've learned to other bassists and help out the community in general. (Unlike that Michael Pallimismo fucker or whatever his name is, who is trying to charge for a Grateful Dead rhythm section course when I don't even think he would truly know the first thing about that rhythm section and is as fake a person as could be.) So expect more and always expect it to be free! Thank you for watching and I truly appreciate it!
