Hi Everyone, I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the words of support, empathy, and encouragement. Hey Nate! I love this song too and as usual your lessons are fun and easy to follow! Try to remember that you're worth caring for and being loved, Nate. Breakups can be the absolute worst thing; but most of the time they're better for both parties. Sometimes letting go is what we need to do to be able grow - and letting go of someone you care for is the hardest thing in the world to do. Especially when you feel warm when you think of their smile, their laugh, and the way they look at you. But you know deep down that by being together you're holding them back from being the best that they be, or yourself, or both. THat's when you know it's time to let go. Keep up the good work, Nate! And keep your chin up the best you can right now - you will be stronger from all of this if you keep pushing forward and recognize that you DO matter and you are appreciated. And that goes for everyone reading this, okay? Be good to each other and try to remember that we're all individuals and that breakups and relationship issues happen. Sometimes you can't make things workout; and that's okay. ALright? Damn I want to hug everyone.

You are the best Nate! I came across your tutorial for Straberry Fields Forever just few hours ago…your video was uploaded some years ago. I am a self taught piano begineer and I find your teaching style very straight forward and no waste…everything is relevant no other extra bla bla bla like the orhers…but most importantly, very accurate and faithful to the original recording…then after few hours…here you are! Just uploaded NOW AND THEN….so timely! Thank you for doing this…really appreciate it! 🍏 Beatles Forever 🍓♥️😎

I am so sorry to hear about what you're going through. You were there for me when my wife passed away. You made the tutorial for "Woman" by John Lennon when I requested it. I am proud to say that I have learned that song. I can play it fairly well from memory. I am so grateful to learn this wonderful new Beatles song. That is the amazing thing about music. The way a certain song will resonate to a particular exoerience in your life or how memories and songs are tied together. When my wife became ill, learning the piano became my therapy. You have been the most wonderful teacher. You have helped me through some tough times these past two years. Thank you for your wonderful tutorials. You are performing a wonderful service. Nate, you have inspired me to keep playing piano

Hi Nate. I just discovered your channel. I really like it! I'm so sorry for the difficulties you've been going through. I've been around far longer than you have (I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan!) and one thing you will discover if you haven't already, is that somehow The Beatles will always be there just when you need them most. From the sixties right up to today they have had an incredible and unmatched talent for creating songs that can mean so much to so many people. They may mean different things at different times, but you will find that they will never let you down. Hang in there,,, it will get better. Oh and by the way, you sound a lot like John Lennon! Excellent!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us under such challenging circumstances. I hope this has been cathartic for you. It certainly means all the more to me as I try to learn it. Last year, I had a huge heartbreak and discovered a very obscure Prince demo song: I can't Love You Anymore. I wept many tears learning to play that one and it was poignant and cathartic for me too. It was very brave and kind of you to do this for us. We appreciate it.

Very nice tutorial! Other than John’s vocals, the piano is my favorite part of this song. It is very Beatles like. Sorry to hear about your break up. Some years back, I went through a very difficult break up. I was very in love with the person and was quite devastated. After some time had passed I began to realize that there were serious flaws in the relationship that I ignored. Although I couldn’t see it at the time, moving on from this person was a very positive thing in my life, and allowed me to grow and achieve things I could never have done had I stayed with this person. Hopefully, it will be the same for you.

Nate, you have done an amazing job covering this new Beatles song. You really captured the essence, energy, and tone. I would be excited to see other Beatles Anthology songs in the future. Perhaps "Real Love" or "Free Bird" or any other earlier JL songs: Jealous Guy GOD Mind Games Just Like Starting Over Nobody Told Me Im Stepping Out Oh My Love Stand by Me Mother I can think of others. Some of them are .ore guitar oriented and may not translate well to piano.

O get the impression the piano is doing arpeggios during the melody part, and then a more staccato style during the chorus. It’s hard to isolate though, because of all the strings playing similar on top. Thoughts on this? Great stuff mate, big thanks!
@PianowithNate Жыл бұрын
You're right, it IS a little hard to tell within the mix. My overall thought is...in the case of this song and many others, it is less important to me to get a piano part perfectly accurate to what the piano plays on the recording, and more important to capture the energy of the music (which includes bass, guitar, drums, strings, etc) for a solo piano rendition. Cheers!

I didn't have that reaction to it, but maybe it's because in my emotional state, I just connected to song on that level and wasn't meeting it with the critical ears i might usually have had
