Thank you for this. I'm really into this kind of music. This is a happy song but it almost made me cry, the way you play and sing reminds me of my father who passed away when I was 6. I really love your voice.

That's one sweet guitar, with playing to match - sounds and looks rich like Rockefeller (gold hardware!) I'm bookmarking this one to come back and attempt when I've got the chops and have read up a bit about rhythm changes & 1930's standards. Thanks again for sharing.

not sure why i wasn’t notified of your post. Need to check my settings.
That is the tab. Kind of rough. I hope to write it out proper soon. So many songs, so little time!

Very nice guitar playing ! But, you do a huge disservice to a marvellous songwriter * (Dorothy Fields) to suggest the Fats Waller rumour. Dorothy was a prolific songwriter during the late 1920's into the 1930's ( tin pan alley song era) .....check out all the songs she wrote! She wrote the lyrics to this and composer Jimmy McHugh did the musical composition. Also you are not playing and singing the WHOLE song ......you've left out a large portion ( which is also the portion very indicative of Dorothy Fields style )
