Says budget setup, goes cheap on the gun and blows you out of the water with a carbon tank, $100+ mask, and a $100+ loader (this is retail) and I think this is outrageous. I would say buy a Valken MI-7 or 9/ empire helix $30-40 and it has an amazing thermal lens with it, buy a gun and hopper together, if you want a poppet buy an etek 3 used for like $200, if you like spools buy a proto rail or geo 1.0-2.0 for like $200ish and a GREAT hopper to buy new so you KNOW it works is the invert halo too hopper for like $60-70, and finally if you have some money, buy a tank for 100 that's Carbon fiber that fits you're size(research it). Finally, with the last 20-30 you have buy a jersey that's on clearance online and an exalt barrel maid, and be happy. I'll for sure answer any questions. Currently shooting a shocker rsx, using rotor r1, use a pure energy tank 68/45, Vforce Profiler with an HDR Amber lens and wear my team jersey with Empire Contact Zero pants

Yes always go with a 4500 tank I learned that in airsoft the main reason from what I’ve heard is a 3000 can be over filled and explode which is super dangerous but the 4500 they are at the max of most machines so it’s basically impossible for it to explode

Get a good mask yes, but you don’t need plastic or glass lenses, get one of those Jason ones that are kinda mesh like small eye area they are good and cheap

On a budget, just get a Rize or Emek/JT Proshield/steelie tank/Revvy. You can swap the bottoms and ears on the proshield to make a proflex down the line. The Revvy is just fine and can keep up with 10.5 - they even required us to use them during the first UWL season. It’s also a great backup loader when you upgrade to a spire or rotor. Same goes for the emek. Basically everything would be worth keeping for the long term other than the steelie tank. I always find it better to keep stuff for the long haul since resale values are terrible in paintball.

Buy everything used except the mask. I got a proto proflex type mask for 45$ new and its a good mask. I bought a P.E. geo2.1 with iv core and a 68ci/4500 carbon fiber tank and a vlocity jr hopper with upgraded virtue board for 450$ and bought a used valken vsl hopper for 50$ and its a great setup, and the valken hopper is lighter , its quiet and low profile, easy to take apart and has expandable capacity. Make sure the marker you buy used has replacement parts available like solenoid, parts kits, triggers, eyes, ect ect. Thats why i got a P.E. marker, i can still get a complete solenoid and assembly for 150$ from PE.

If we’re talking about 200$ get a mech gun like a tippman gryphon for like 70$ and a ninja tank for 50$ and a standard gravity hopper valken sells one for 3.95$ and finally get yourself a good mask if your on a budget I’d recommend the valken mi-9 or the empire helix but the mi-9 is more comfortable and has flexibility

I got a ICD B2K2 for $25 bucks. I found nearly all the parts I need to fix it for 50 total before tax. My tanks from an airsoft HPA setup I got from a buddy who upgraded to a carbon tank and since I plan on playing hopper ball to save paint im just going to use a $5 gravity feeder. Alright, real budget paintballing get one of those 6 dollar hoppers from big 5. They don’t jam and are really good. Get a reusable tank, maybeeeee 48, Or 20 if money is hard, Find a good price I got a 48 for 30 bucks. Try to get a hand me down gun garage sale, don’t matter what you get really, some are better than others but mainly it’s just practice then when you get a good gun you’ll be REALLY good. And then just a cheat mask that ISNT glass or plastic around the eyes, what he said about shattering is true, but they have mesh eyes but are special for pintballing. Or you could just get normal working glasses and if you feel the need, get one of the cheaper bottom moth guard only pecoes for cheap. And one again I would like to say CHEAP HOPPERS, they don’t really matter much trust me I cannot stress that enough. If it has a closeabke lid and holds your paint and dispenses it like a 6 dollar JT hopper. It’s great

I just bought an old Spyder Pilot ACS with pods, pod holder, C02 tank, viewloader electric hopper and gear bag all for $40 Compressed air steel tank- $30 JT thermal lens mask- $45 Had marker serviced with all new O-Rings- $25 So I'm only $140 deep to start with all of this... That's TRUE starting on a budget. Is it great equipment? Not even close but it allows me to get my feet wet in the sport which is all most beginners have in mind when just starting out. If I decide to take it more seriously in a few months thats where I feel like the advice in this video would come more into play.
