As I was exporting this, Dave Guskin dropped the official PDF rules LOL. Things I got wrong: - You only don't draw if you go first in free for all - To win you must score from all battlefields in one turn or successfully hold one battlefield while you are on 7 points. After your first conquer you get to draw a card also at 7 points if you haven't scored that turn.

Does my legend start in play immediately?
@AVKprodАй бұрын
@@spockling6538 no, it like the legends is guaranteedin your hand, but all the players can see it
@nevasha6727Ай бұрын
@@AVKprod I think you are slightly mistaken. The legend starts on board (in play) immediately and has a passive or active ability that is triggered during the game. The partner champion slot is akin to having a copy of a champion whose name matches your legend available to play normally at any time (one time use).

A great video! Just one question that stood out to me at the very end, you mentioned that in a 4 player game, people pick a battlefield and randomly choose one. That persons battlefield gets to go first but “it is not played”. Is there ever an instance where a battlefield IS played, or how does the not “playing” a battlefield affect the game?
@nevasha6727Ай бұрын
In a 3 or 4 player game, 3 battlefields are present in the center of the boards from the beginning of the game as objectives to be fought over and scored on. Since in a 4 player game, 4 battlefields are shuffled (1 from each player) and one is revealed to determine who goes first, that selected battlefield is simply not used during that game. The other 3 will be the available battlefields to conquer and score on during the game.

This game is going to be a disaster. IMO it feels like they didn't think this game through. No sticky damage, random rune card draws, board control with generic TCG effects, only drawing 1 card a turn... They should have just made a board game instead.
@alastaras8931Ай бұрын
Well, I don't see where this pessimism coming from. Most of TCG is played without sticky damage and its okay. I like this mana system, runes have his own deck(i already can see a new cards like special lands from mtg), they don't take place in your hand and don't screw your card-draw from main deck, and you draw 2 runes each turn, that make this game dinamic and, since you play just with 2 color, consistent. Of course we can see just generic effects, every game needs simple, but effective strategy. They show us this generic effects so we can easily lean into rules with simple gameplan. IT'S A DEMO. And...since when drawing 1 card a turn is a problem? (And yes, they already made couple board games)
@nevasha6727Ай бұрын
L take or shitty bait. Some of the most popular and wildly successful card games have 1 base draw per turn and no sticky damage. Cards that create more card advantage exist/will be printed for decks that utilize card draw as a strength. Calling a 'base' set and the cards in the 'starter' decks "generic" with a negative connotation is simply wild. And in the 20 or so matches I've played so far, I've had maybe 1 instance at MOST where I did not have the correct color runes to make a play I desired, despite the draw being random. That's because the energy cost of cards doesn't care about which color runes you exhaust, only the recycling cost does. You seem to be horribly pessimistic and have very odd opinions of what you expect a card game to be.
