I tried this out with my PS4 a couple of years ago. It worked but my phone got so hot that I thought it was going to melt and even on the biggest phones, most games are very difficult to play unless you have the option to do screen mirroring on a TV. On a PC or Mac though, it works just fine and I use it often.

If your controller is Bluetooth then u don’t need remote play just go to Bluetooth on your phone and connect your controller to your phone but other than that u can’t use your controller when using remote play, u can only use the buttons

i don't know if this would help for ps5, but on ps4 i connect the remoteplay using different user than my main user, so the ds4 for is connecting into the main user and remoteplay connect to different user. that way i can use my ds4 on remoteplay

I have the PS4, and I've played using the Remote Play quite a lot. And I'd say, if you want to have the minimum playable experience, you MUST have the following setup: 1. Your PS4/PS5 is connected to an Ethernet cable 2. You have a good router with 5 GHz Wi-Fi 3. The device you're going to play it on (either a laptop, phone, tablet) is connected to the 5 GHz Wi-Fi Forget about playing it outside your house. The input lag will be so huge that your experience will be trash.

I guess apple updated their software then because now Im playing my ps5 with my dual sense ps5 controller eith my Iphone 14 Pro as the screen. Its working fine. Just make sure your PS5 is off or in rest mode before you try pairing your Iphone with your PS5 controller. I have no idea if this works on any other model of Iphone though and have no way of testing that. But yeah Ill just go play Ark Ascended now. This is "game breaking" XD. I could be on a bus, train etc hundreds of miles from home and as lomg as my ps5 doesnt lose connection or power and I have a a stable wifi connection for my phone I can play anywhere I want. some tips for remote play (ive been using it for the last year to grind my 2k builds so trust me) if it lags a lit go to settings video quality then adjust it to where you get no lag for me i use 540p high frame rate 540 is more than enough to notice everything and i get no delay from it. yw any more questions for me comment down below btw it works on computer just search up remote play

Is the ps4 remote play quality worse than the streaming quality the ps4 pro or ps5 has? I have tried changing resolutions in the remote play settings but the screen that my ps4 shares to my remote play app isn’t that clear and stll a little blocky, its playable and clear enough but i still don’t really like it. Does this have to do something with the ps4 being older and worse at that than the newer playstations or is this just how remote play works, from what i noticed i couldn’t find a video with someone having a remote play screen with the same blockyness and in all video’s people either use a ps4 pro or ps5. My internet has a 191mbps and a 320 upload. Can someone test if this is fixable or just a difference between the ps4 and the newer playstations? :D

If the games supports wide screen u can use it. PS5 is for TVs that are mostly 16:9 so many games don't have support for beyond that since it's kinda useless. Maybe they could put an option to stretch or crop it but I would rather have blackbars than stretching or cropping the video.
