Racquetball players appreciate wikiHow's racquetball video explanation, however there are some errors and confusing images in this video. 1. Regarding the serve, the video says "if the ball bounces off the wall and completely clears the service zone, the rally starts." The video should say "If the ball bounces off the FRONT wall and lands in the area between the Short Line and the Back Wall, the rally starts." It is best to eliminate the dotted safety zone graphic in a beginner's video, as it difficult to understand the safety zone rule and because it appears to suggest that the ball must bounce in the pink safety zone area, when that is not the case. 2. "If the ball bounces on the floor more than once, the receiving player loses the rally" is incorrect. Why? Because it might be the server's turn to return the shot, in which case the server loses the rally for not being able to return the ball before the second bounce. It should say "whichever player is unable to return the ball before the second bounce loses the rally. If it's the receiver, this results in a point for the server. If it's the server, it results in a side out, giving the receiving player the chance to serve and score a point." 3. The statement "When the server loses the rally, no points are awarded and the other player serves next." isn't incorrect, but it would be better worded like this: "When the server loses the rally, this results in a side out, in which case the players trade server and receiver positions." 4. "If a player doesn't hit the front wall on their serve, or if the ball doesn't clear the service zone on its way back, the serve is considered a fault serve." This is incorrect. It should say "When serving, the ball must hit the front wall first, after which it can hit one other wall in the air before bouncing before the back wall. If the serve hits three walls in the air, or if it hits the ceiling after hitting the front wall on the serve, these are considered faults. If the server faults twice, this results in a side out. On the serve, if the ball first hits any surface besides the front wall, such as the floor, side wall or ceiling, this is an automatic side out and no second serve is awarded." *Accordingly, the graphic should be changed because it shows the serve hitting the side wall first but only calls it a fault. 5. A racquetball "match" refers to two games to fifteen points, and a tie-breaker (if necessary) to 11 points. In other words, the sum of the two or three "games" is a "match."

I have a question, how do you proceed when you hit the other player with the ball? Do you restart the point? Or the "hitter" loses the point? Thanks for you comments ando ur explenation

And other question, on serve..if the ball hits front wall -side wall- bounce on floor (correctly) and bounce on other wall - it's a good serve.... Buuuuut if it front wall - side - side and bounce - it's a foul (because u said if it hits 3 walls before bounce its foul and the server loses the serve) Thanks for your help, been playing with my dad and uncle for a year but we don't know these rules

This game is fun but we play with few rules except that the ball can't bounce more than once and the serve needs to cross the intro point

Eyewear - Mandatory, and wrist cord (runs from bottom of racquet to a loop you put around your wrist) - Mandatory. Yeah this is a pretty good intro description.....you think singles gets confusing you should see the doubles rules. And we didn't even talk about the drive serve line or the receiving line. But this is a good start!
