They really are complex. But like anything if you do it enough it becomes second nature. The only game you can increase you odds over the house (by a whopping %4) is blackjack. however you have to perfectly memorize and execute basic strategy and be able to keep the count on the cards at a blistering pace. Not to mention it's super awkward to have all the people in the pit staring at you while you linger at a table and wait for the count to go in your favor. I did this a couple times however this annoying Pit Boss kept trying to strike up conversations to throw me off

If you're so keen to play roulette, here's a 'strategy'. However, you must have a LOT of money and the table/casino of your choosing has no maximum bet. Place a relatively small bet wherever you want. If you lose, place the double amount wherever you want. If you lose again, double it again. Repeat until you win twice in a row. Then you'll have won money, and EXIT THE CASINO IMMEDIATLY! Don't go anywhere else. Good luck!

Here's the simplest, best rule of Roulette: Never bet against yourself. Bet on just ONE space on the table at a time. If you bet on two or more at once, then one can win but the other will lose. So one costs you a chunk of what the other won for you. That's not smart. Don't bet on two of the three dozens, for example. They can't both win. If you bet on a dozen that wins, the one that you bet on that didn't win costs you money. You'll always be better off to make SINGLE bets. Most important of all is a strategy to take your winnings home, if you end up making some money. I always play the dozens, which pay 2 to 1. If I'm winning, I will take half my winnings and put them in my pocket with EVERY winning spin. I never put that money back on the table. I cash out and go home when I run out of money to play with but NEVER play my winnings I put in my pocket. That's critical.

You could buy the mat and use a standard deck of cards as the roulette by taking out the Hearts & Kings and leaving the Jokers for the zeroes. The corresponding color of the number goes by what the mat says to its dozen & suit following order Spade, Diamond, Club. Now say you shuffle, no more bets, pick one and - 3 of Clubs would be 27-Red. Or, Queen of Diamonds would be 24-Black. Shuffle again, pick, - 9 of Spades would be 9-Red. _Just Saying_

I have always played big fish casino roulette and learned from that game. I was in San Manuel couple days ago getting my but kicked by the slots lost a grand. I used to love it.. Now they got 000, and some have 0, 00, 000, and a house point effectively 4 zeros. So pathetic. Who in Vegas still only has 0 and 00? There are some martingale style strategies and 'lucky number' plans but it is pretty dang random. Most casino's have signs with 'hot numbers' and I see a lot of people betting those and losing a lot.

I know the different colors are not the nominations, but what denominations are the chips? I don't know how you know when to judge that there are at least 3 spins left for the ball, in order to say 'no more bets.' (especially when you're not even looking at it, you're looking at the table.) I've watched videos of games in progress, and the players take forever to decide what to bet on. One person can slow the whole game down.
