Thanks! I'm mainly a musician releasing my own music, but during the lockdowns I did some covers and this one in particular was pretty popular. That's why I decided to make a tutorial for it :) I'll definitely consider doing some more of this type of stuff though as it's nice to hear it's helping people out.

I still yet to know how to bar my pinkie like that for the B. I think my hands are too small lol, well I’ll learn somehow :)
@eelkemusic4 жыл бұрын
It's tricky right.. I think most people use their ring finger for that chord shape instead of the pinkie. You could try that as well and then either adding the pinkie for the second bass note, or sliding up your index finger-bar two frets so you got all notes with just your index finger.

@ThePerfectBalls4 жыл бұрын
Eelke thanks for the reply eelke. Did you take singing lessons to master your falsetto? Any chance you’d do a singing tutorial in the future?
@eelkemusic4 жыл бұрын
@@ThePerfectBalls I do teach singing so it's not impossible I'll do singing videos at some point. Having said that, it's so difficult to teach someone to use falsetto in my experience.. I remember learning it myself because I heard people like Jeff Buckley growing up and having a really hard time getting any sound at all in that register. I wish I could more clearly remember how I found the sound eventually, but I guess it really comes down to 'keep trying' until you've got something and then try to remember how your throat felt when you got the sound to work. Once you're getting sound I would say try regularly doing siren-sounds (you can use them as a warm up as well) starting on a comfortable note and going slowly (and softly) up and down, keep going higher and lower until you reach your limit but try to keep the tone clean (not to much air on it) and see if you can sing past your vocal-crack without hearing it. Do this on all vowels. It's easy to dry out your vocal chords with falsetto so maybe don't practice for too long.
@eelkemusic4 жыл бұрын
@@ThePerfectBalls Also, keep in mind that on a lot of recordings (mine as well) theres compression being used on the vocals to make up the volume difference between regular voice and falsetto. And also I also change the distance to the microphone. So don't expect it to be as loud as your regular voice, certainly at the start. Just use the sirens to stretch your range and find songs to put it to practice. Selfless wasn't easy :) Let me know how you get on!

The chorus is pretty much impossible on my acoustic with the strings I have I mean how are u meant to bar with your pinky
@eelkemusic4 жыл бұрын
It's pretty hard on your pinky.. You could try using your ring-finger instead, that's usually the way people grab that chord-shape. But that does make it harder to change the bass-notes on the chord because it's a bigger stretch.
