Basically just if you're heavy on AP OR if they have health stackers (tanks/bruisers/ROA champs) then Liandry is better. Otherwise just go ludens. Tbh if don't want to think about it at all it's probably better to just default to Liandry

loved the video again, im just curious about 2 things. first thing is the itemization you explained, why did the liss have to go shadowflame second? and why were cdr boots better than mpen boots here? you said its because you have 2 ap in the team but i dont really see how that works. and the second thing is that i noticed in this one and the ori vid that in a 1v1 you ult rather early instead of using it to finish the kill off, is there a reason for that?

I suppose she doesn't have to go shadowflame 2nd, but normally you want to stack flat magic pen to do more damage to squishies so I was expecting either chapter > shadowflame > ludens rush or rocketbelt > shadowflame rush. Either way the MR is really OP. CDR boots imo better than mpen boots because people always buy MR when you have lots of AP, and that means that flat magic pen becomes less valuable. I like ulting early to put it on cooldown normally so I can use it again sooner but honestly it's matchup dependent, sometimes you wanna save it to try get a solokill rather than just chunking

I've only played 2 games of her recently but both of them felt pretty good, I think the w/r is probably just all the people that had their elo inflated by the OP LeBlanc builds falling back down to their normal elo

I started playing league about a month ago and have been loving these videos and guides! I was confused by you saying that you are going to build MR if lissandra is rushing shadowflame though. Wouldnt MR not be very effective if they are rushing magic penetration? Or am i thinking about this wrong?

more magic pen is required the more mr you have. since lots of mages are going to build shadowflame (including lissandra, syndra etc) the more mr you have the less effective shadow flame will be for your opponent

There is flat magic pen which subtracts a constant number from your MR and percent based magic pen (void staff) which multiplies your MR e.g. 40% means you multiply your MR by 0.6. So stacking MR is good against subtractive magic pen (they also call it flat pen in league) because I think the first points of MR are worth more regarding effective health at least if you factor in mixed damage. I'm not actually sure how it would be if the game was ap damage only.

As the other comments explained, the TLDR of it is that flat magic pen is good against targets with low magic resist, whereas % magic pen is good against targets with high MR. Flat magic pen is very strong against a target with say 40 MR but quickly becomes useless the more MR gets bought

have you already made / can you make a video about how to get back into the game on a scaling mage when your team loses the game early? I always have a lot of trouble being useful when enemy team is ahead early, they control the jungle/river and have vision control, makes it very hard to do anything. Especially when enemy team has assassins on the team like zed mid or eve jungle.

I think maybeee you could get away with it but there's a lot of mixed AP damage coming from Kai'sa/Jax. It's decent but I think they will get MR at some point so it might end up sucking depending on how they itemize

Can I get some Ahri commentaries? Also when do you think a game becomes uncarriable? I flame horizoned a Lux, but I couldn't do anything after my team fed Ezreal and Renekton and I legitimately couldn't find any good roams to bail them out either. Similar game, I went 30 CS up on Zed before level 6, but I just couldn't find anything worth while to do with my prio and he eventually started just running down to bot lane and killing people on repeat. I don't really understand what you're supposed to do with your free prio when jungler won't play for you and the other lanes are just like...uninteractable. Like I could have played better for sure but like...at what point is it just not my fault anymore? I'll literally take an entire turret and make people miss 3 waves when they roam without prio, but the entire world burns down around me as spam ping "Danger" along the river, every time.

Trying to get some ahri games in! There's not really a good rule for a game being uncarriable but in general there's always more you can do, whether that's different wards or better laning or positioning etc there's just so many things to do in league and it's impossible you (or anyone for that matter) is doing them all perfectly.

meh i always like your guides, but tbh in this one the runes are so wrong, this was so free with first strike or even aery if u wanted to stomp lane (but fs is just better rn they destroyed the rune), like if u hit q/e u re gonna be safe anyway and if u don t even phase rush won t save u (like if malph decided to press r and cancel your stun) also mercs are just too broken, like if lissandra decided to rush shadowflame/luden mercs just make that start useless cause flat pen works good under 60/50 mr and IMO mercs are a must vs syndra and liss so u don t need to take cleance and take the broken summoner spell (tp). But yeah wp to lissandra she s played really well the laning phase, considering this is a syndra favoured match up

I disagree. First strike or aery is 100% better in lane, no doubt about that but Q E does not keep you safe vs Olaf. and This game we didn't really get to see that interaction because obviously Olaf was really far behind. Mercs are broken, but it's still possible to die to Liss gank combo with mercs (whereas it's literally impossible to die with cleanse). I can definitely agree that in competitive you should take TP vs Liss and just try deal with it, but I think you can get away with not having TP in soloq. I get where you're coming from because it would feel soooo much better to have TP aery or TP first strike but I find it isn't the best way to play out this matchup in soloq sadly :/
