About those pirogue tokens. How does one pick one up? When it's my turn to pick one up, do I get to check all of them before choosing or do I select one randomly? Do I have to hide them from my opponent when cheking them out? I'm sorry if my questions are confusing. Just to clarify. I am not asking when do I pick one up but rather how.

When you get to take one secretly check them all and take the one you want :)

@@DontBeBoard so I guess when I choose one, I put it in front of me face down? Otherwise what would be the point of checking them out secretly. Also, on their turn, your opponent will get the chance to see all of them. Thanks for the quick answer!

Not got the rulebook to hand but pretty sure you reveal the token taken. Once both players had seen the available selection we just left them face up - it's the not knowing until you see them the first time that drives the choice to sell a set early.
