Very useful! I love your videos. How do you use 12/8 meters in your drum circles? My students are a little shy to join when the ground beat is out of ordinary.

Amalia, on some of the rhythms he is tapping a light ghost note (a barely audible touch with the finger tips) on the upbeat - it helps keep the rhythm flowing smoothly. I believe he did a video on it couple videos back.

Many have commented and I will add. The left hand is muting the head (reducing vibration and sustain) as well as marking time by lightly touching (playing but not audibly) the skin.
