Tanks are there for bosses and mini bosses. There are some bosses that are SUPER annoying if they aren't tanked properly.

Agreed. The game doesnt have a tank role. And it isnt till t2 that dumb dps is visible. I feel 10% the base knows what a Q block is or a fury attack. And 6% of that 10% is tank and healer. I sns/wand, sns/gs, gs/dagger, wand/bow. All soecs are 3.5k+, and it amazes me how bad dps is at this game and how mechanically challenged the community is. Best tank, imo, is sns/wand IF done right. Which is rare. Ican tank and heal t2 dungs. So I run with 5 dps and buff them. Smooth runs if they know mechs and beyond quick and easy if they know that their keyboard has a q button.

Imo SNS-GS isnt really self focused, its a healer and priority target defensive tank that also provides defense en offense buffs for ur team. Daggers on ur healer? Stunlocked U see a flashwave charging? Stunlocked Bayblade in your blob? Stunlocked Atleast thats my play style as an SNS-GS tank, also engaging on Healers and main DPS if ur healer is safe to stunlock their heals But everyone plays their own way, thats just how i play xD

No, most MMOs don't have that to protect players from harassment from others. This game follows the same (at least as of this moment).
