Waddup everybody! Welcome to a new type of instructional video where I try my best to break down interesting grooves in songs. Today we are going over my band The Word Alive's song "Play the Victim" off our album titled "Real". @@matthorndrums I was watching a couple drum cams of Luke playing the verse part and it looks like he plays it like: (LR) together, then L R, L R(snare), L R, then (LR) together again. Jeez, I don't know if that makes sense of not lol! Anyway, it's pretty much the same result either way, just something that I picked up on.

Man, you are a fucking god just for knowing how to play this song. So for God's sake, make a video teaching the whole song or at least the groove he starts playing at 1:20 in this video of play the victim kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmPRfHhrmZKamJo I've grasped most parts, but this specific one is insane for my brain to process.
