Best Dead how-to videos, hands down. Even the thumbnail logo is way better than any other. Love your lessons and live streams.

just a quick comment of thanks and gratitude dude! I'm an old drummer who since is now an old hack on guitar and I need to play music in one way or another and an acustic guitar is the easiest. And , well uh , unless i have my old band mates around to teach me stuff, i turn to the net ( i'm self taught and all). Your vids are accurate, in the right keys....and super helpful and demystifying and also fun funnyyyyy. So keep on keepin on and Thanks again*!

So glad you did a lesson on this song! Today I came across a nice version from '74 with cool saxophone accompaniment. The group I jam with has a dude that plays sax and we mainly do R&B by Stax records groups which is great but I've been pushing to start incorporating some Dead. Definitely going to request we try this one, but can you recommend any other Dead songs where the sax is key, maybe from the Branford Marsalis shows where his playing really stood out and added to the songs? As always , many thanks for the weekly lessons!

Nobody ever shows how to do that rhythm thing he does when it goes from the C to the G on one part. It’s for quick cords that are basically in the key of C going to G. I think it’s a C to G to a minor to G. But the thing about it is is the inversions that are used which make it sound correct. I’m not 100% sure which inversions he uses but I’ve never been able to find a video about that.
