Firstly this is one of the best guides for playing the game I've seen in the 10 or so years I've been playing just a few notes though. First it's 1 enhance per source per enhance phase. Eg if you play an enhance on a foundation in 1 attack if you can fulfil the requirements in your next attacks enhance phase you can do it again. Or if you have 2 of the same foundation you could play both of them in the same enhance phase. 2 you can't attack turn 1 so you could throw away a bakugo attack turn 1

This helped a lot thank you, thank you for the gameplay demo, it helped me better understand than other videos, I just started getting into it two days ago and been trying to figure out how to play for those days lol so thank you so much, I do got a question though, so after you put one of the attack cards from the momentum back on the card pool you don’t have to pay? And if I don’t have to let’s say I need to check a foundation and I put it beside the attack card, since it was free so I do it with +0 or +1 still? Sorry for all that lol but also keep up the great content, I’m going to subscribe, keep it up!🔥❤️

21:42 i believe there's an error on that first block, with Bonds of Friendship (to reduce a Fury attack's damage by -3) it says to Flip. So using that ability should require that Foundation card to become flipped

And I believe once a card becomes flipped it is treated as a blank text foundation that you can still commit

I have a question regading the damage and blocking; when is an attacking card considert dealt damage this turn- which is importent for moving the attacking card into momentum zone. Is a blocked Attaking card still dealing damge after the block so does it move to the momentum zone?

An attack has dealt damage after blocks happen. If it's fully blocked it has not dealt damage and will not go to momentum (which happens at the end of the turn)

2 questions: for blocking - is it only cards in your hands? Or the stage cards are okay too? Blocking difficulty: it says speed+block number+progressive difficulty, so what if the attacking player played some foundation first and attacked on progression difficulty 2. Obviously the first block will be with progressive difficulty on 0. But what if they attack on 3, and we’re blocking on 1? Would that be 4? The highest/lowest progressive difficulty? Thanks :)
@EspiraTCG2 жыл бұрын
Can only block with cards from your hand. Progressive difficulty is only for the player playing the card. So for blocking, it's speed of attack + block modifier of block card + your own progressive difficulty.

I got the game yesterday and I'm from other card games so I already have maybe some more complex questions. Can u commit cards got checks if u played them that turn. In the zones. What's the point with flipping? So that it's a hard once per turn instead of per combat?
@caitlinewing69063 жыл бұрын
I’m terribly sorry to ask. I’m super new to fighting card games but I got the rival deck starter box to play with a friend. Neither of us know how to play this game at all so we’re learning completely from scratch. I’ve got two questions! If an attack is blocked, does the player who attacked go into the end phase because it failed or do they continue attacking? And If a player successfully blocks an attacking players attack, does the card that blocked go into the discard pile when it becomes the defending player’s turn to attack? Does the entire cardpool clear for both players when it switches who is attacking?
@EspiraTCG3 жыл бұрын
They continue their turn since they didn't fail the check of the attack. The attack didn't fail, it was simply blocked. Successful blocks stay in the card pool, failed blocks go to discard. When turn passes, you clear both players card pools
@caitlinewing69063 жыл бұрын

So to clarify, you CAN commit foundations/character to check an attack, and you do NOT need to do a difficulty check to see if you can put a block in your card pool? (or is it simplified to literally anything put in your card pool should be checked?)
@EspiraTCG3 жыл бұрын
Aside from card effects that put cards in the card pool, if you're attempting to play a card in that zone it generally needs to be difficulty checked

how does enhancing with the cards in your staging area work? does it commit the card after enhance?

@Joe_Olivo2 жыл бұрын
Do you have to pass checks when doing enhancements? And can you play enhancements only from the stage or from your hand? Or both?
@EspiraTCG2 жыл бұрын
Enhancements can only be done during combat, so yes you need to pass the check before moving to enhancements. In general, enhancements can only happen from the stage unless written otherwise explicitly on the card.
@Joe_Olivo2 жыл бұрын
@@EspiraTCG thank you! And an enhance can only be used once a turn right? Even if it's a character card - and same goes for responses? Like if a card has an response and an enhance can I use both each turn or only one?
@EspiraTCG2 жыл бұрын
@@Joe_Olivo An enhance can be used once per attack, unless stated otherwise (and as long as the card isn't committed). Responses can be used once per time their condition is met (and as long as the card isn't committed), so again multiple times a turn unless stated otherwise. 2 questions: 1st, can face down foundations still be used to commit? 2nd, during the enhance step, do i use all of my available enhances then pass to my opponent, or do i use one enhance, then my opponent uses one enhance, and we go back and forth that way?
