I hear Battleship Galactica is being prepped for update 14. It will include a compliment of vipers that AA can't track fast enough and a hyperdrive consumable that allows you to relocate anywhere on the map with a click. 20km secondaries and auto ASW twice as good as CVs.

Tip: He spam (if it pens) against these things, the flight deck is considered apart of the hull and won’t saturate

​@@obamagaming6642 if you shoot into a part of the ship alot with HE, eventually you start doing less damage. This is meant to model the fact that shooting one part of the ship wont kill it, like how repeatedly shooting someone in the toe won't kill em. Eventually there's just nothing left to be damaged. Since the deck is counted as part of the main hull, it can't saturate and so you can spam it as much as you want, unlike superstructures.

Everyone will be perma spotted. Enjoy games with two subs, two CV's, and a few of these.... They are free damage and spotting with zero real downsides to the ship itself. I'm glad I decided to take a break from this game for the next patch cycle.

I had the honors after 4k battles to have @potatoQuality as my first Random battle Content creator face off :) Thank you for the entertaining content and keep up the great work! For what it's worth i was The Alaska B in this Match and played mostly on the Northern end and middle late game. I found myself having to hold my fire alot because of your teams Yamato but think i did ok overall. Also got that Cheeky last shot on you as the match ended :) GG ...I thought you would lose this game from the start because of your teaming sending alot of ships to your side. Other than the Yamato i didnt really have much cross fire to worry about.

if the hybrid ships were classified as a cv instead of a battleship I think it would make the matchmaking more reasonable. Otherwise you can end up facing off against 2 sets of planes with only 1 cv on your side.

Airplanes actually irritate me less than DDs that couldn't be bothered to scout for the fleet and constant submarine pings. If someone can scout for my guns while we're flanked by enemy DDs and ours are all smoking up, meaning I can at least see something to actually shoot back at, I'd call it net-positive for me.

If these can be used in a Div they will be so OP, eventually you will have 3 BB's and a CV, maybe even 2 CV's hitting you at once.

@@trickledowneconomicsfail7127 plane wise these are going to be worse than CV regen. You get the plane strike every time its off cool down with no care about how many you lost last strike. It's not easy, but a CV can run out of planes and then it's useless (look at saipan in a t10 game) but with these tactical style flights you always launch full. Even if the last 5 got wiped you don't care.

We already have Tromp with airstrikes and these hybrid Cv-bBs…so pretty soon, WG will introduce premium editions of Cv-Sub, which will have a feature of launching planes from underwater and then disappearing into the depths

@@JamesPolymer There’s a 50/50 chance whenever you enter a game to either get supersonic VTOL Yak-41s that can’t be intercepted, or you get “Chinese Billionaire” as your commander and are slowed to 10 knots, don’t have any aircraft, and your only weapon is a rifle squad standing on the forward deck with AK74s. (This is assuming the carrier we’re talking about here is the Kiev)

Thanks for a video confirming why there’s no point returning to this game for a while. Surface ships are just fodder now to planes and subs unless you are divisioned up. If AA were meaningful and plane spotting were only minimap spotting, the game would deserve another look. Until then, it’s basically not a surface warship game any more.

i think the hybrids are probably the most ballanced ships they've added in years. the planes arent particularlly op, being a battleship, you are usually a lot closer to the action and so can be damaged while sitting put. i'd rather he bombs then huge torp spreads or armor piercing bombs. or those rediculas rockets that do like 10 citadel hits per strike.

hard disagree. the HE bombs are best vs destroyers which is normally a BS main weakness (not even counting the spotting they give you), and for some reason the planes have substantially more HP than supercarriers. Even in my AA build dalarna which is truly safe from carriers (ive full wiped United States squads), ive been hit for 3/4 of my health in one strike while barely scratching them (not that it matters, since unlike carriers you cant reduce their plane numbers)

Colorado but if you buy the premium battle pass and then play at least 3 hours a day 5 days a week to win battles to earn base xp you get Nebraska as a reward.

A helpful tip to ya PQ. Switch to HE before you launch your planes. If they damage con a fire from your planes, which is almost a certainty, you can follow up with a permafire from your main battery. BB's go down way faster when I've done it with the Delaware. The switching time is still counting down while you're on an attack run.

I don’t think it would make that much difference. You still have to wait till the immune period runs out. If you have ap loaded you might catch broadside as the other ship tries to dodge your rockets

Pretty sure I will get the Nebraska, just for geographical continuity. (I have Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, plus others. Having Nebraska and playing her is a totally separate issue. :)

With one or two planes always being shot down during an attack run, it may be more beneficial to just play a Full BB, if you have good DD's spotting for you. I have a feeling these ships are gonna drag out games too long. We will have to see but perma spotting games are almost the norm now. If WG wants to continue this route, they may want to buff Cruisers a little. Cruisers are gonna pay a heavy toll with these ships being a mainstay.

Honestly I'm not too concerned about these hybrids, a single strike every 2 mins isnt TOO nuts, I think it'll add an extra dimension to bb play and is fine. That said these strike me as too strong, aside from the armour weakness and worse heal I think these are pretty much straight upgrades over the previous line. The only other thing I mught change about them is the plane spotting for itself, require a longer return time after dropping bombs so you couldnt spot a dd, strike, and shoot all at the same time

Seems World of Warplanes did not bust after all.. WG just shoves them down our throat in our favorite ship game.. can't wait for the total bs in matches with all these gimmicky hybrid cv/bb, perma spotting and making people want to play cv's more since the normal cv population present is irratic @ best. Seems WG are destined to milk Wows for every drop so just play for free and show WG the error of their ways :D.
