Despite being a byproduct of success, a deep stack can be hard to play with at the poker table. Both cash game and tournament players can struggle adjusting to big chip stacks, as there are more variables to consider.
The decisions you make on the turn can often make or break your success in the hand. Turn play can be hard enough, but what variables should you be considering when you are deep stacked? The bigger the stack the more you have to lose, which means you must be prepared! Whether you specialize in sit & go’s, head’s-up cash games, or multi-table tournaments you will experience the turn, now is the time to do the homework and materialize success.
As a professional poker player, I need to be able to consistently focus throughout the day. I used to drink a lot of coffee to help with focus, but it would inevitably lead to a crash. Then, I discovered BRÈINFÚEL.
It combines everything you need including natural caffeine, MTC oil, vitamin C, vitamin E and collagen to give long lasting energy in a healthy way that allows you to focus your best all day long.
You can get 15% off at breinfuel.com/... and by using code POKERCOACHING.

Sup big city baller, can you make a video on how to randomize. I read modern poker theory so I have all the charts and frequency’s in front of me, but how do I apply that to a real world scenario at the casino ( I’m talking about preflop, flatting/call/reraise4 bet frequency)Is it really as simple as remembering all those charts and frequencies? I obviously wouldn’t randomize as 1/2 since I’ll just exploit these cats. But I’m interested how Fedor and Malinowski and Degreannu actually randomize in real life without these charts in front of them. Thanks again General.

You can look at your watch and if you're planning on 1/3 call, 1/3 raise small, 1/3 raise large, if your watch second hand (or the numbers if you're not a luddite like me) is at 44 seconds (3rd segment of 20 seconds), you're raising large.

Can I ask you a question (again!). Once I get my tax return, I want to get coaching from you (you are a little out of my price range lol - the army pays well but not that well). This actually does have to do with the turn… not sure what I could have done. Effective stacks are 420 ( 420 for villain 1, 480 for hero, and 800 for villain 2) The table sucked. It was all limps all the time, and super sticky everyone. I had put in for a table change, but it hadn’t come yet. The worst part was people kept hitting the most ridiculous hands. I wanted out of there. So as normal, it limped around to the HJ who makes it 15. I am on the button and I look down at AKd and raise it to 65 ( 3x the raise and 15 for the 3 limpers and the blinds - and I went big to get folds). It gets to MP 1 who calls the 65. Then HJ also calls. Flop comes AcKc10d. Very connected but when it checks to me I put in a small bet to see where I am (both protection and value also). I bet 50 (about 1/4). Both call. I think one of them is on a club draw. Both of the too sets are in my range but the QJ is in both of theirs. The turn comes out a Jd. so now I have the nut flush draw with a gut shot to a royal flush. MP1 checks but now the HJ leads out for 100. I call and then MP1 check raises it all in for 200 on top. The HJ calls. I decide to push also. There aren’t a lot of full house possibilities - as in not many cards that pair the board that also don’t give me the boat - only a jack or 10 can pair and not give me a boat, but the diamond is out there already. Any ace, any king, and any diamond give me the nuts. River is the 9… of spades. MP turns over AA and HJ turns over QJo (no diamond so my royal was live). Was this just one of those times were it’s going to happen and you are going to get stacked. Or was there something I could have done (decided not to take the table change and went home, wasn’t in a good frame of mind lol).

Hey Jonathon, I was lucky enough to win a satelite ticket to any 215$ game on ACR. Do you think I should use it in a normal tournament or a PKO?

If you think you’re too outmatched to win it or make final 5 or whatever, you’re better off in a bounty where you can collect bounty money along the way.

Whichever you feel more comfortable on. $200 PKOs aren't soft on ACR like some other sites. There's less variance in PKOs but the strategy is different with math involved in bounties.

No limit cash games with capped buy in ruined poker forever and runs people out of the game. Good limit games which do still exist have a far better risk reward ratio, sustainability, and preserve the social nature of the game.
