In the rules they have the specifics for each card listed out. Do you have one in particular you’re wondering about? Some cards like Mmm Pie and Nanners are pretty clearly used during your own roll phase. Kitteh and Doggo are only used if another player tries to steal from you. And Yum Yum is during another person’s turn where you force them to continue rolling. Hope this helps!
