Linda Webber I want to join the volleyball team for my Freshman year. I’m scared too but tbh you should tryout anyway. Just practice at home before tryouts and try to learn as many tricks and things as possible. And even if you aren’t as good coaches want someone who puts in the effort. And maybe you’ll get in- or maybe there won’t even be girls who played their whole lives. And don’t worry about being small- it’s not everything. You might just have to work harder to achieve certain things. Just tryout anyway. You can make it👍🏽

Your videos have been really helpful. I’m going into 9th grade and I’ve never played before (I’ve never gone to a school where they have sports!) but I am interested. I am trying a skills camp at my high school for the next three days and if I like it, I’m going to try out for junior varsity next week. I'm joining volleyball for the first time this year in 8th grade, and I'm very nervous about it because I'm not the greatest at it. I need some sort of modivation to keep me going but I feel super insecure about my skills compared to other girls at my school that are really good at volleyball. I want to do volleyball though before I get into highschool, and in fact I'm actually joining basketball as well and thats also the same as volleyball. I'm super scared to join sports and I completely regret not joining sports sooner than now, but the more I wait the more I'll regret. I just hope that one day I'll become really good and become more confident about myself. Wish me luck 🤞😬 *Update* >> So today was the first day of volleyball practice, and honestly it wasn't so bad after all. I think I was just scaring myself for no reason because practice went amazing and it was so much fun. All you have to do is have a positive attitude and believe in yourself. I used to play in sixth grade and am definitely not like hinata but it was fun to try. And now I’m planning on starting again, and I really just recommend you try it out just because an anime is what gave you the want to try it , shouldn’t mean anything different

Due to quarantine I haven't been able to practice much, I'm new to volleyball but I guess watching the anime Haikyuu got me into it. I wanna become a setter but i'm not sure if its the right fit for me. You see, i'm fairly chubby and insecure about my weight and body so that may be part of that too...But the thing is I am also interested in the Libero position. One of the other things im worried about is that I've lived in a house with people who smoke around me a lot, and im only thirteen...My depression and anxiety are worse now than they've ever been so those have been causing a lack of motivation...But I've been trying my best to practice when i can, even if its hard and im one to give up easily...Anyways, you're videos have really helped me in both learning the rules and deciding on a position, so thank you Coach Koko!

Another thing, the ball can hit the net during a rally, however players are not allowed to touch the net. During a serve you have to get the ball to the other side of the net, it’s fine if it bounces off the top of the net, it just has to make it over.

I really wanna try out for the volleyball team this year, since all my friends play. I’m that one kid that never really does anything at school, I don’t do clubs or any sports. But for some reason I really wanna try out. But I have a problem. All the other kids that try out and play have played their WHOLE life. So they’re experts, I don’t know anything about it and your videos really help. I’m taking notes and I will try to practice. I also don’t have the “ideal” body type (all the other girls are “prettier” and skinnier then me) and that makes me insecure. So I’m also trying to loose a bit of chubs while trying to learn volleyball. Thank you for your videos they really make a difference. I hope that I can make the team in September :)
