From what I've seen of this riff on KZbin, you're the only guy who is playing it right.

I was just a year old when this came out, and loved it!

No amp being used. I run my guitar directly into an Avid Eleven Rack which is hooked to my computer. The 11R patch uses the AC30 amp model with compression, white boost, slapback delay & reverb. Thats pretty much it. I make the patch available for download from my website. I also have a similar patch for the Line6 HD500 that you can download. If you have either one you can download and install them and have the exact same set-up.

Yeah sometimes I get lazy and go with pulling off to open strings, even if it's not the right note. It sounds better this way though, for sure.

What are you using to get the country grit? Amp dist. or a pedal? Thanks.

+rhykko77 I do have a 60’s Supro but for my videos I used either a Line 6 HD500 or an Avid Eleven Rack

very unique Telecaster...tell me about it. Pickus?
@PowerTwangTV11 жыл бұрын
I built that guitar with the help from a friend of mine. We routed the body, carved the neck and I painted it. It is based on Brent Mason's Telecaster. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan Vintage Stack, the middle is a Seymour Duncan Blade Humbucker and the neck is a Mini-Humbucker (GFS). The middle pickup is on its own volume knob so it can be "Blended In" with any of the other pickups.

Nice nice guitar! I have actually been looking for a Valley Arts Telecaster Brent Mason Signature Series....but there doesn't seem to be any around for sale.
@PowerTwangTV11 жыл бұрын
Yeah I think they were only available for a few years. You might be able to find a used one but they don't show up too often. I heard Gibson had something to do with Valley Arts but can't confirm.

Yeah...I don;t know either, but I would sure love to have one. But as I understand it... they were VERY pricy as well. The two guitars I want more than anything is the Valley Arts Brent Mason Signature series.... and the Rickenbacker 325 Capri (John Lennon's famous ax.)

Ken Scarborough If you haven't come across it by now, Fret King's black label country squire semitone duluxe has the same sort of pickup layout, although it is a semi hollow design. It's a bit cheaper though.

Camper, the notes ARE NOT wrong.. He doesn't have the same tones as Brent, he has different effects on the studio cut.. he is playing the right notes. Trust me. Great revision, man. Ignore this guy.. He doesn't have the ear to comprehend these subtleties. Great job.
