maybe the greatest album of all time. I don't say that lightly. What a dive into mental illness, drug use and abuse, self loathing. All sadly prophetic. I will never get tired of this album. The first blues doom

I'm a newb. What does he mean by tuning down?
@abbyhowe87067 жыл бұрын
Richard Gadbury Sorry this is 2 months late but what he means by tuning down 1/2 step is that instead of being in standard E tuning (what your guitar would be in without tuning down), you would tune down to E flat. To do that, you need to tune both e strings an E flat note, your A string to A flat, your d string to D flat etc. You can do this using your ear or notes on a piano but since you're a beginner I would suggest using a clip on tuner. You can buy them at pretty much any music store or online. I use one, as do many musicians I know, and I think they work well and are fairly easy to learn how to use. It's important to remember that E flat = d sharp, A flat = G sharp etc bc most of the time clip on tuners will show the "sharp" notes on their display rather than the "flat notes". Let me know if this is confusing or you have any more questions but I hope this helps 😊
@johnmeggers50596 жыл бұрын
Dylan, you are correct. It's really not for beginners. There's lots of beginner material out there, and there's nothing wrong with that. We all have to start somewhere. But yes, once you've mastered the basics and you want to try to sound like other recognizable guitarists (like Jerry Cantrell), these are the kinds of channels that can help you develop more advanced skills.
@itsmedante.53254 жыл бұрын
Fret down a string on the 1st fret. Tune that to standard tuning. Do that for all strings. There you go.
