What do you need on your drum kit to actually learn this song?

Riven I’d say basically his kit drum wise + his cymbals minus 1 or 2. Definitely need a china, aggressive crash and ride first and foremost.

@@StillTruee I just bought a kit recently and the main things holding me back is knowing what I'd need to play music, and tuning my kit. 😣 I have a crash/ride but doesnt sound like a ride at all to me.

To learn this song you need 3 crash cymbals and a hi hat :) that’s it. Arron plays with just a huge Crash / ride and two crashes... so with those and a hi hat you are good to go. China isn’t needed.

@@KyleMakesShoes I feel you man, you don't need a giant kit to play some good tunes. Like Wyatt said this song is pretty basic as far as what you need but in general a 4 pc kit with a crash, ride, china, and hats is plenty for someone who's just starting out. Tuning on the other hand you're best suited to watch a few videos on how to tune your kit to the sound/genre you want to play. It's always good to hear someone has decided to take the plunge into drumming. Good luck, roll with the frustration that comes with learning, and practice practice practice. Cheers dude!
