Hey guys, if you're watching this in the future one thing that wasn't included at the time was BORK rush. After the buffs to BORK, it's an extremely strong rush item and can then be paired with a normal build e.g. BORK > Mythic > IE etc or you can try tank Yone with BORK > Sunfire like Chovy did in the LCK. I think the BORK > Mythic > IE build is probably the strongest atm but the standard builds still work fine as well.

Amazing guide as always! I am picking Yone right now to learn how to counter him and as easy AD option. Couple of questions here: 1. I was learning plenty of Anivia last season and am curious why this is a very hard matchup - I had problems playing it Anivia side, so maybe my gameplan/trading patterns were totally off. How should Anivia play it correctly to shut down Yone? Not convinced I just win the scaling game. 2. Didn't fully get that - how do you choose between Zeal or Quiver? 3. Any changes to this guide after 12.10? Mortal Reminder still good? 4. I have idea for 2 additional sections of these guides I would personally find useful - what's the general rule-of-thumb gameplan/wincon for the champion, like splitpushing/dueling, sieging, TFs, siege defense etc. and also how to play against and shutdown the champion in question when we face it. What do you think? 5. How about Anivia guide? Seems like a blueprint for utility control mage + it's at least second time I see her in very hard matchups here + I think durability patch helped her. Thanks for answers in advance, they are always as good as the guides!

1. If she holds Q you can't ever really trade into her, if you Q forward she just uses Q and E then you lose the trade. She is gankable though. 2. Just based mainly off how much gold you have when you base/what components you've bought 3. Still good imo 4. It could be useful, I think I normally do cover it in the video but it could be good to have an explicit section for win conditions. I'm not sure shutting down the champion should be included in the champion guide, but maybe in a different series. 5. I might do eventually yeah

I did do an Akshan guide but it was a few months ago and his builds always seem to change, I think the best builds atm are shieldbow > wits > rageblade vs lots of AP/tankier champs, or kraken > collector > IE for a crit build.

Hi shok i'm a silver 1 midlaner, and I both main akali and yone. What champ would you recommend in order to climb between those two? I find that with akali I always have better kda and I can manage to stomp my lane more easily but I find it harder to close down games, especially when they drag to late game. With yone I find that I don't have such a great kda, but I still manage to always have 8.0 + cs per minute (with akali i have like 6) and it's easier to close games thanks to my sideline pressure.

generally good guide however some things need to be pointed out especially with the durability update people need to consider this and if this is helpful i would like it to be pinned so most people do benefit, 1) revitalize is beneficial when you go more than one lifesteal item and/or when you have decent enchanters on your team which can in some cases give more ehp than overgrowth 2) you are able now to go more often tenacity or bloodline thanks to lethal tempo and you most likely going either zeal or botrk along with shieldbow berserker which gives attack speed enough 3) botrk is really decent on yone as first item for multiple reasons 1- stats are beneficial, 2- durability update=more dmg from botrk passive and combining with fact you have mixed dmg u will deal really noticeable amount of dmg 3- its passive which steals movement speed keeps you up with mobile champ to keep running them down with your e and overall good dueling item 4) standard build on yone can be berserker botrk shieldbow/galeforce- IE/LDr - dd/wits end/visage etc 4) pls if u r considering to get zeal for snowball, do NOT go mortal reminder especially if u r not vs major heal threat as it got giga nerfed in terms of grevious wounds, either sell it for another item much later on or get PD

isnt revitalize better than overgrowth? it synergyzes well with its W and shieldbow, plus d shield early healing (i think) and late game lifesteal, orher than that really good guide as always really helpful!

Revitalize is good as well, but so much of the time as Yone you will either be overhealing (in which case more max HP is better) or you are simply trying not to get one shot, because you'll lifesteal enough anyway as long as you survive. I don't think it's that big a difference though, you can take what you prefer.

Hmm for Yone specifically you definitely want to spend more time farming/side laning, obviously you teamfight when it's good but Yone farms very quickly so his macro differs in that aspect, could be a good thing to add to future guides

I think items/runes might be slightly different, the meta build atm is to go tempo + overheal + resolve (tanky ones, or boneplating/second wind for lane) and to go shieldbow > BT > IE or other situational items, makes you very very tanky

Im gm 600 lp as a yone main, and it feels REALLY hard to play the game.. ahri lb and vex being meta makes it feel so impossible to play lane phase.. any tips for that?

It's pretty annoying yeah, I'd probably ban Vex since I think she's by far the hardest. I think you can deal with the other two if you dodge a lot of skillshots and keep the wave in a good spot. If they miss their chain/charm you have an opportunity to punish them and you should win side lane later on vs both of them.

I'm just a gold player so this question could be very dumb, but why do you take cutdown and overgrowth together? Don't these runes work against each other?

Nah it's fair, there is an anti synergy, but if you compare the damage those 3 runes in the bottom row do, normally cut down just does the most damage by a lot so it's worth taking anyway. As I said in the video though, none of those 3 have a great impact so you can just take whatever you want, it's not really a big deal. Overgrowth is really OP though so don't give that up to take cut down in a sense.
