Hi, good explanation. Can you tell me what is control jn your case because in dye experiments 0 minute reading is that reading where no catalyst is been added. I have this doubt kindly explain.

Control is the reading that is having no catalyst, After that is was stirred with catalyst to perform the adsorption. After adsorption the reading named is 0 min. That is just before the light on.

i am not getting the peak at same wavelength for each degradation curve. So what should i do? Should i have to find the peak at each curve manually and take the corresponding absorption value ? or should i take the particular wavelength peak at which molar absorptivity of my material is measured?

How much it changed ?? Does it changes regularly for each time point ?? You also check the pH changes during the reaction

May I know whether you are taking the absorbance value as concentration in C/Co plot or are you conducting any calibration of the dye solution before the experiments and calculating the respective concentration based on the absorbance you obtained from this....

You have to make a calibration curve for accurate and precise results. However for the first glance you can take initial concentration as C0.

Hi, R2 does not define the order of the reaction. It is just a parameter to define your fitting quality. As you are fitting your values that were calculated by using first or 2nd or 3rd order reaction rate equation, this parameter will only tell you that the fitting is perfect or not..

I can't understand the basic principle of the photocatalytic degradation mechanism. Actually, I am working on TiO2 based photocatalytic systems for pollutant degradation. Dear Yasar, there are many other ways that can be used to check whether the reaction Is 1st/2nd order. 1. You can plot the graph between remaining concentration of pollutant and reaction time, by observing it's nature you will identify the order. 2. You can check the corelation between different half life's....it will also suggest the order..

Bhai, R2 ki value 0.4 ka matlb hua....Jo bhi order aap fit kr rhe ho vo uss order m fit nhi hoga.... Try with 0 or 2nd order rate law
