A detailed tutorial demonstrating the procedure to plot the XRD data using Origin Pro.

These are referred to as Miller indices. These come from symmetry rules. But don't worry, you don't need to do the calculation yourself. Most of the times you can find the information about your material in some online database. Or you can simulate the patter as well using an Android app that I created. But you would need information of atomic positions and lattice parameters for that. For new materials one can use software's like FullProf.
