Why the dowel? Why not just all epoxy?

The dowel adds some structure in to the hole creating a stronger patch for the hole.

why use the dowels? I was going to use west 610 tube pre thickened it comes in a caulk gun with mixing tip.

Is the Total Boat epoxy system 5:1 or 2:1? Great video by the way.

They have different ratios for different products, we used 5:1 hope this helps.
