The part of longboarding related to tricks and popping your board around is actually called freestyle, whereas freeride is sliding at slow to medium speeds.

Hey man, hows the tails on the Elixir? I do lots of freestyle and its quite aggressive for the board, Im worried that I might wear the fiberglass layer on the bottom of the tails down to a point where the wood is exposed, and the eurathane bumper might come off? Any feedback on that? Thanks man!

Thaddeus J L it's fairly durable and thicker urethane than previously models. Mine is still weather sealed and I've been abusing this board for almost 1/2 a year now

What board should i get for doing everething - firewater or elixir? i am concerned that elixir is too long for tricks, and the firewater is too short for freeride.
