do you know alternative laptop battery "power supply" (idk what to call it).. I have a acer aspier e5-575 and its battery is just keep broken.. it basically just filled with 18650 batteries but i can't use electronic stuff like solders and stuff.. I'm figuring on how to change it into a powerbank or something..

will it power up laptops even without the battery? just like desktop computer.. I have defective laptop here (without batter and charger).. I hope you can help me. btw good video
@rufixed22454 жыл бұрын
yes it will. you just need to provide the correct DC voltage . be sure to set the wires so that they do not create a short circuit by accidently bumping each other

looks awesome just quick question... my laptop currently leeches more power from battery while gaming hence well its made that way i did removed battery and used only plug but in that case the laptop starts framing while gaming like chopping hence no additional power. Say if this trick is used with decent power supply would that be enough so it don't Chop Lag when used without battery in other words will it try to use power supply potential additional wattage from the external power supply instead of battery or its not possible because its made to leech from battery instead like looking for that additional power in the battery. If that is possible my guess is it is also possible to use this hardware hack for rewiring the battery slot like a custom wiring for the battery so u have like unlimited power for your battery. In other words instead of pushing power in the normal jack there could be additional external cable put into the battery so u literately never run out of battery hence its connected to the outside power supply? I need to know if this is possible hence most the laptops usually can handle hard games like mine right now handles most games but the battery leeches to 30% after 3 hour gaming i guess what I am asking is if this or something like this can replace the battery by wiring and adding cable from battery power slot you end up with unlimited battery by using external power supply. I don't know if it makes sense hence I am not super hardware savvy but i always wondered why the heck we cant just plug a damn power brick outside and use it instead of battery just saying if this kinda thing is possible let me know please thank you in advance.

i have the same exact problem. My games lag now bc it doesn't have a battery to draw power from. I've been looking for an answer for this for quite some time now.
@creeps32893 жыл бұрын
@@carloiankimilat7010 i think there is a way ofc its not invented yet but thats what laptops needed external additional power to draw that extra wattage. Replacement for the standard battery method maybe this is a way but have to ask someone more hardware savvy.

Yep. Just another way for Lenovo slim laptops is a DC adapter to battery like in this video but for startup only. Power supply stays the same. Originally such a laptop has 20V in USB-C. You just need a small "better impulse from battery" at startup. Coz it's dead (or removed). No need to take it out completely. Simply improve startup voltage for the battery. Red and black wire. Attach a DC here (in parallel) with the same voltage as written on the battery. Startup takes one or two seconds when turning the laptop on. Then disconnect the DC adapter when keyboard lights go on. This works for Lenovo with an integrated battery.

I had to remove swollen battery of TOSHIBA portege laptop, uses C-type charger... I was wandering if it would work without battery but no... I know there is a way but I don't know

@@Sajjad_Asghar Some laptops are able to boot without a battery. others not. Anyway, You can open the cover and disconnect the battery. Try boot it. In my case I have just gave 2 seconds impulse like it has a good battery. The laptop tries small interaction on startup. Charger checks whether BMS gives ok or not. In my case. That's it. Works from usb-c charger now - while I'm writing. Battery replacement maybe waste of money. I have seen videos people hacking BMS to update charging cycles data on chips, replacing expensive lithium cells. For economy reason. Also I've seen laptop working from a single DC adapter to the battery connector. Also may be possible, depends on laptop. Anyway, You can touch battery connector plus and minus with a DC as battery voltage when booting for a short time and see how it reacts. Does it give led lights. But then there should be a disclaimer :) Hacking is a risky thing but, sometimes there is nothing to lose at all. Next time buy a laptop with a removable battery. In-built is a scam in my opinion. Besides, bios is a small chip that can be updated with special instruments. Other bios configuration may work without battery check. But I don't know these things.

@@Chessforeva understood! I'll update ASAP!
@Chessforeva4 ай бұрын
@@Sajjad_Asghar Battery replacement is the safe way. Bios update requires desoldering of the chip. Some hardware just can be turned on somehow without expensive and unnecessary lithium replacement.

no i dont have a video, but basically i bought some cheapo binding posts on ebay and tied them up to the various 12v 3.3v etc. wires. you can even use the computer power supply wires directly. there are a good amount of resources on how to setup your own 12V bench power supply from a computer PSU

i want to power a 20 volt laptop. if i can sustain 24v. what type of resister can i use to limit it to 20.
@Duvanie3 жыл бұрын
You would have to know how much current the laptop drew from the power supply. This could vary widely, especially depending on the setting of the screen brightness. Using a resister to drop the voltage from 24V to 20V with a load that varies could be very dangerous for your laptop. If the laptop requires 20V and the voltage gets just even a little bit over the absolute maximum allowable for any of the components that see that voltage, that part of your laptop will be fried! DLE
@rufixed22453 жыл бұрын
You should be able to get a 20v power supply pretty easily, it's a fairly common voltage
