@@Zevox144 I don’t know if I speak for minority, but I feel like it’s not worth it unless you are a die-hard destiny fan. Destiny being the best working live-service is true, but the bar is pretty low these days, with very much no competition. The price of DLC+annual+dungeon key is in my opinion better spent on several full games each year unless you are hardcore destiny player. I really do like the game, but I feel like Bungie’s pricing policy is the thing that held the game back from reaching and (most of all) retaining hundreds of thousands of players.

For those who haven’t logged on yet, and who did bounty prep: I messed up and popped every bounty I had before I got the artifact, and the artifact mods unlocked retroactively when I did get it. Don’t panic if you did this.

Pretty sure artifact levels are retroactive if you gain enough xp to level it up before getting it. Reason being I leveled up during one of the missions before getting it and I completed a guardian level up task for rank 6 that said something like “level up the seasonal artifact one time”

Make sure you go to your vault and get the higher light stuff so that the remaining drops are higher for legendary campaign. I did not and I didn’t finish the campaign very high. Around the low power cap 1940

Just FYI you actually don't need to get the artifact first before popping bounties, though you still want to be in a party. They've made the artifact retroactively gain XP from the moment the season/episode/whatever starts rather than only once you pick it up. You should notice when you get it after the first mission that it will already have XP that you earned from doing that mission. I believe they made this change a season or two back but I'm not 100% when exactly. NOT that I blame anyone for waiting anyway, I did. Just to be 100% safe.

Do it! Also, by the way, warlocks are the most OP class by a large margin. If you do ever get into a warlock, pay close attention to subclass and exotic armor syrnergies. They will make the difference between being a mediocre Warlock and being a fucking space god. People fail to realize this and main a Warlock for years without ever seeing their full potential.

No, but your 2000 level weapons will mean the other classes will get higher gear much faster. with your weapons the first armour drop you find on another class will probably be like 1940+ and the next one even higher, by the time you have gotten armour drops/rewards in every slot youll be capped, or close to, on those classes

When I finished the normal campaign, I was at 1945 give or take. I did a few quests, like dungeons and others to get up to 1980 (gear at 1975). I would rather save myself the headache of legendary in my opinion, and just finish the story just to finish it.

not sure why this is always stated as such: only pinnacles at 1990... I've been getting upgrades from primes and rep rewards all along, saying its just pinnacles makes people think theres only upgrades from the symbols on the map. I dont raid, I dont do GMS, I've only done campaign and vendor weeklys, and all 3 of my chars are mid 1990s... yesterday was the first time I got some pinnacles, as i missed the first few weeks because I forgot to do them before patch day (saving them till the end of the week can backfire sometimes, plus week 1 i wasnt able to earn them yet) so there are definitely still upgrades coming from things other than pinnacles.

Currently the servers are junk again and content creators are already posting spoilers despite people still complaining about the servers and / or not being able to play past the first mission. DLC dropped six hours ago, it's starting to look as bad as the Witch Queen launch.

Beat the whole story on legend, for some reason every time I would complete a major encounter and the reward chests would pop up, I'd only get one piece of loot despite both chests spawning. Not sure what was going on with that, but only one of the chests gave me any loot literally for the whole campaign. End rewards remain intact tho (exotic and 1960 gear)

What's a fast way to get to the soft cap as a f2p? I'm waiting for a sale before buying TFS. In the past you could farm moon chests for blues by going in and out of load zones but blues don't drop anymore. Edit: nvm I forgot that they didn't remove blues from dropping entirely. They just don't drop if you're past the power cap.
