That is the reason beyond having multiple functionalities in an affordable solution, replacing several lab instruments. Accessible also to more in the stack, firmware and software developers alike. For hobbyists, it's certainly expensive, but you use a ppk2 that is cheap and enough for a hobby and you can script with Python. For professionals, Otii is a great tool that we have been using. There are always some new updates in a short time frame and we have great support. You know time is money and a company will be happy to pay a few bucks more to save thousands.
