Ok. I've been practicing the uke for a week now. I'm not frustrated by my slow progression, since I already expected that, but I wanted to study smart. I just watched 3 of your videos and your tips are gold! Thanks!

I realize this was posted a few years ago, but i had to comment. I tried to start learning a couple of years ago and got frustrated with chord transitions and got busy at work. I'm 53 and have never played an instrument and was trying to learn on my own because I've been told how easy it by several people. I've tried to pick it up another time, which resulted in the same frustration. I stumbled upon a neighbor that's part of a community uke group, which I've joined. So I've started learning again. I practice daily, and I am improving but still struggling with transitions. I was so happy to find this video. Your pointers make so much sense. It will be part of my daily practice going forward. I'm pretty excited about my chances for success. Thank you so much.

I can not change how the chords are just like i cannot change other people but i can change myself. By making the transition fast and smooth i can change my life for the better. Just like you said HAVE PATIENCE. Thank you.

I know you get these comments constantly but this has really helped me. I felt frustred after couple days (I know, not much time but still) because other teachers / tutorials started with "press at once". So the "attack the next chord from the skies" was the approach. But this one by one, I am already much much faster after one day. I understand there is a limit but eventually I know it will switch to all at once, already some fingers land at the same time in some chords. The key is that this is much more approachable to practice. You start slow and get faster and more precise after 10, 100, 500.. etc. chord changes. Thank you
