I'm still a beginner guitarist (playing for around a year), but in a month you really helped me out more than other guitar teachers I had before. 🤘

Man.... I can't even put into words how much you seriously changed my life with your tips and videos.... I tend to either not hit or accidently hit notes. I'm a self taught guitarist and had no body show me important things like this. Ty so much for sharing your musical awesomeness with the world. You seriously help more people than you mat realize. Ty so much!

That’s awesome I was just thinking today while practicing that my fretted notes sound good but I was moving around the fretboard too sloppily and was getting all kinds of extra tones of out strings I wasn’t playing

This may sound dumb. I play bass and I use my fret wrap past the nut to help with unwanted echo from slapping the bass. Not saying it 100% works but mentally helps me a lot. And I know a bit of the echo is coming from the bridge. It's a lot of vibration so I can understand

Quite honestly most other instruments are just as if not more demanding at the highest levels. Any classical instrument for example.

If I could start my whole life over, I would start guitar as young as humanly possible. There is a window super-powered learning that happens at a very young age that is evident in many of the people who are the absolute best at their crafts. Guthrie started consuming music and guitar as young as 3, and combined with his obsession for guitar I really think this is what makes his level damn near unachievable. In other fields, someone like Khabib Nurmagomedov is uncannily great at sambo wrestling, and was unstoppable in the UFC. One of the known things about Khabib is that he started wrestling as young as 2-3 years old. Now I’m not saying you can’t be great and start late- you absolutely can! But the people who are the absolute pinnacle of their fields usually start very young

This makes me wanna give up before I've even started at 25, it's over
@seraphim4501Ай бұрын
@@kenjikodai what is the point of comparing yourself to other people? There is always gonna be someone more talented than you. You need to play guitar for yourself, to enjoy what you are doing, to be happy for the smallest achievements even if you suck. If you view it as a competition, then you are fated to failure from the get-go.
@CompleteProducer84Ай бұрын
@@kenjikodai Definitely not over! You can do incredible things at such a young age of 25. I was just talking about the ABSOLUTE best virtuostic masters, the untouchables like Guthrie Govan. To reach a level like that, starting very young would help a lot while the brain is most flexible with the most synapses. It is how we can learn a whole language so fast when we are young. But you don't need to be Guthrie Govan to have the time of your life playing guitar. You can still be incredibly good, even if you start at 40 and put the time in.

I think using a fret wrap is cheating . It’s a short cut. People need to practice two hand muting, and put in the time.

@walterhartman32754 күн бұрын
Nope, play and have fun. If you want to work at it to play in front of people or make money, that's your choice. It's more enjoyable and inspiring to play and you'll make steady progress. In this light, I never practice but play not for the bank account, pleasing others, nor ego. Changes the whole mindset of lessons also.
