I just looked up handy flux and what I found says it's made of fluoride borate which concerns me because chlorine is what dissolves Gold and if you look closely at your periodic table you'll notice chlorine bromine and fluorine (fluoride) all have similar properties and behave in the same way and I'm not familiar with this form so can you confirm for me this is safe with gold

I just seasoned a new crucible did it as described in the video. when it cooled the seasoning crazed. is it ok or did I apply to much or not season it long enough. used propane whole thing took about 4 min from crucible warm up to glaze.

Do you need to season it after every pour?

No John, as you melt you should add borax to clean your silver when it is hot and the seasoning will stay.
