Thank you for all the great info Kelly really shined a lot of light on the little nuances involved with deer hair I also wanted to ask if you ever find the time I stumbled across an old video of your ultra caddis it would be awesome if you could do an updated video of that really cool bug

After stacking and before tying in I seal the cut ends with a very small dip into a thinned rubber cement, it makes the float last a lot longer. You do have to be careful not to dip to deep or to long, and spread them out to dry before setup, otherwise they will glue to each other.

So where does short-fine hair come from? A particular part of the deer, a summer deer, a young deer? The reason I as is that I have complete hide that is currently in several large patches and if I have short fine hair there I would like to find it. Thanks in advance.
