Great tips on shipping to a friends house and Southwest is awesome for flying and transporting. I do this when I do signings.

I was lucky enough to have just come back from Book Bonanza, which was amazing and this was my first big book signing. All this advice is so helpful. I found it useful to carry a portable charger.

I hope you had the best time!! And yes, that's a great tip too! I always bring a portable charger whenever I travel 😊

This is awesome, Lacey! For totes tho, I recommend getting the tote from Trader Joes - the Jute and Cotton tote bag - I brought it with me to KissCon last year and it was the perfect size for massmarket paperbags! You can arrange them spine up and do 2 layers of that.. just remember to rearrange the books and place the signed ones at the bottom 🙂

Rearranging is SO important!! I've been through just shoving everything in... its chaos 😂

I've never been to a big signing. Is there a rule of thumb about how many books an author will sign? Or should you just limit yourself to 1-2 per author?

You can bring as many as you want (I always have a ton from 1-2 of my favorite authors), but if the venue does limit it, it's how many books you can get signed each time you're in line to see an author. Apollycon limits you to 3, so if you have more, you'd have to get back in line and wait again. But if there isn't anyone in line, authors are usually super nice and will sign them all at once!
