Thanks you for those tips. Would you recommend a book that could help with this certification in addition to the bubble doc?

Thanks @Matt Neary, I didn't even know about this certification. I am on the last project of the canvas certification though.... I am sure this exam is easier than the canvas certification 😂

Mate for the love of god please show how to do a blocking system for a message app, no one knows how to do this or is willing to show how to do it. Especially the logic and setting up the database to handle it and the associated workflow. When this button is pressed block this person !!!!

For blocking users: Add a new field in the user datatype called “blocked users”. Anytime they click the block button, add that user to the list. Have a new privacy rule in the user data type that states if current user is in this user’s “blocked users” list, they cannot see them. Everyone else can. If you’re trying to implement block messages in a chat, that’s different. Usually the user who has been blocked can keep sending messages, but the user who blocked them just won’t receive them. To achieve this, you have to have a new field in the “message” data type called “sent when blocked?” and it’s going to be yes/no. In your “Chat” data type, you’ll have a new field called “opted to block”, which will be a list of users. The user who decides to do the blocking will be added to this field. Now every time you send a message, you will populate the “sent when blocked” field by asking bubble if something is true. So it’ll look like this: “this chat’s “opted to block” contains the other user of the chat”. This will return a true or false (yes/no). Have a new privacy rule in the message data type that says, “if this message’s “sent when blocked” is yes, not visible to anyone” and “if this message’s creator is current user, visible to user” Now the other user won’t be able to see the message when they’ve blocked the other user. The blocked user will be able to send messages as normal.

You can create an item on “user”>“blocked users”> list of users, then on the button set up the workflow, on click make changes to current user> blocked users add “current cells user” ( im assuming you have a RG)
