This is for the first time since me and my wife started exploring the UK pathway,that i have seen such a video,dealing with such a matter,fully.The reason is the presenter,she was kind,considerate,very elaborative,and understood the intellectual and also emotional needs of the prospective future IMGs.This video has already addressed many of our concerns,but they have given rise to new ones also,which i hope,will either be addressed in future,or maybe had already been done in other such videos on this channel. Basic question. Does it mean internship in India (1 year after 4 years of MBBS) is equal to FY1 at UK. If so, does it then mean after Plab1 and 2 I enter at level FY2 at UK. Then I get Competency Certificate at FY2 and the register with GMC. In brief, I start at FY 2 at UK after India MBBS 4 years + India 1 year internship + Plab 1 + Plab 2. Please confirm. That is one route, yes. But you don't have to take an FY2 level job. You could also apply for CT1 level.

No. The PLAB 1 passing mark is determined by the distribution curve. If everyone does well the passing score goes up, if everyone does bad, the passing score goes down. Out of 180, you can't even safely say you will pass if you score 130. It all depends on the examinees.

If you have a right to work in the UK, there are chances. But no one say for sure what are the chances or you will get in for sure. Getting educated in abroad and starting seeing your first patient in the UK may make you go through a steep learning curve which you weren’t prepared for. I always suggest to have their internship finished and then apply for GMC registration. Your learning path is more easier and established then.

Hello, you can enter into medical training if you meet the person specifications, or you can applying for non training FY2/CT1/SHO/Trust grade posts initially and then apply for training.
