Years ago I seen a alternate 'ac unit' that at night time would freeze large volume of water into a giant block of ice by running a chemical through the copper coils (Serpentine)... At (0:16) seconds in the video, on the left, There is a giant copper coil that appears to be somewhat of the same process. Does Anyone know the name of the chemical 'refrigerant' that they pump through these serpentine coils to freeze the water? Thank you for your time.

Hi Paul, sorry for my delayed reply. normally we have equipment for that. The name is the harvesting tank. Hi Anietie, need saltwater because we cool down the saltwater up to -15'C and it does not freeze. but the freshwater into the molds freeze on 0'C. that's the point.
