Nice one Keith, I soak them in Bicarb for 24 hours before cooking, cuts the cooking time right down, same with hemp. With the cost of energy nowadays the hemp cooks in minutes! I have an old pot that I use, saves a bit of ear ache especially if it boils over!

Thanks James,we have always fished hemp and tares on the rivers and canals, the tares are mostly used on the hook while feeding hemp mate 👍

Thanks for this Keith. I've always just mixed tares and hemp together before soaking and cooking but sometimes find the tares a bit difficult to get on the hook. I'll definitely be giving this a try next time.

Thanks for watching Roger, I’ve always cooked them separately as they need different times mate .

Not done it like that before. Soaked for 24hrs before and used salt instead of sugar with no soda. like i said last time always learning.

Once they’re cooked just pop them in the fridge overnight if you’re going fishing the next day,if you’re cooking a big batch you can freeze them until you need them mate.
