Good video. We usually put a new kitten in our bedroom with us. When we brought an older cat home we did this. It took me about an hour of softly talking to her before she got on the bed with me. She's now my best friend. In fact if there are any typos it's because she's currently kissing my typing arm. We did the same when we got her half brother at 14 weeks old. They adjust fine. Whoever they spend those first days with usually ends up the closest to them. The other partner comes in and out frequently to get the cat or kitten used to them also. They tell us when they are ready to enjoy the household.
