Exactly, I’ve had many Rides through Uber and boy the cars that show up are either smelly, dirty windows, terrible dressed, have body damage, or have transmission suspension issues. 😂 I can go on. Uber has really fell to a low level. I’ve since hired a Private Driver who Is semi retired and runs a Part time car service. Rates are about double, but he’s always punctual, clean and very Reliable.

Really helpful but the most important thing is charging the right amount to the clients otherwise your not making money or your business grows up

Two bucks a mile from my driveway to the passenger drop .30 bucks an hour Plus expenses for wait time if a return trip is needed … return trip expenses only…. Expenses are additional food hotel etc. which can come in to play with a long trip or a long time trip

Unless they are Booking a Round Trip of $280 from SFO to Napa the Price is $300 paid in Tax Free cashola ❤😊 Time and wear and tear on the Vehicle must be factored in and remember to claim that IRS mileage rate for 2024 of .67cents per business mile out and back!! The extra money is in the IRS mileage rate ❤

Hello Sir, great video. please keep posting. I own and operate in NYC and I struggle with pricing myself. Sometimes I actually get a little embarrassed to say the price id really like. However larger companies are definitely charging without holding back so if we're priced little under the larger companies we can win as independent owners. I always consider pricing with consideration of having to farm out. meaning having pay another company well enough so that the work can be covered with great service. Let me know if you ever need help in NYC.

Yes brother, I learned that if you send the quote and price you like via text message and or email it doesn’t hurt. Test if setting the price you would like works, it will surprise you when people accept it, if you are making over 10k a month it means you are doing something right!

Step one, know your true "all-in" per mile cost of operating your vehicle. That's everything. Depreciation, insurance, interest, routine maintenance, unexpected repairs, cleaning, etc. Everything. When you know that number, you know your true cost (including any deadhead miles) of any trip. Add to that number what you want to be making as your hourly rate for yourself (including any deadhead time). Keep in mind, as a self employed driver, you are responsible for paying both employee & employer side on your income taxes. This is how private car services do it. They know to the penny how much it costs to operate their vehicles, pay their driver, and still have a profit for the company. Well, you're the company and the driver. You need to cover the cost of your car, pay yourself for your time as driver, and have a little profit above that as the owner of the company.

Well said the formula is Car payment + insurance + gas + maintenance +other / 30 days You get an idea of your daily cost
@gecamp77
@gecamp77 5 ай бұрын
Then if you get x amount of rides / Daily cost = cost per ride … add more to the formula as you see fit

Good morning sir how are you doing today? Thank you very much for the information on how to price your trips my name is Sean Murphy and I am here in Atlanta Georgia and I'm hoping to do the exact same thing that you are doing running and owning and operating your own transportation service. At this point right now I guess it would be safe and easier to go ahead and get a up-to-date Chevrolet Suburban or 12 to 15 passenger van to start up?

I’m not from the US but I have a high paying remote software job in the US. Recently I was looking to buy a daily car and I came across a Lincoln the ones you usually see in weddings and I was surprised how cheap limos are ($15k for low mile) I’m now interested in buying one because I live in a small town and have a lot of extra time and money. In my town there’s a lot of weddings every summer and I’m confident I can make over $1500 a month and own a limo for fun. I think I can use my software engineering skills to create a website and an app to wipe competition. Do you think I should go for it or is there a lot I don’t know about the limo industry and costs.
@gecamp77
@gecamp77 Жыл бұрын
My only comment is old stretch limos require some serious maintenance and tlc, they are cheap but to operate them is not cheap when insurance and license gets done, but it is a start, running a simple and friendly website is key, you may also partner with other companies who have similar cars in what we call affiliated companies, you charge retail and farm out wholesale

Hey man, can you advise how to get contracts with airlines to pickup their pilots? Thank you sir
@gecamp77
@gecamp77 3 ай бұрын
Great question. The answer is very broad: this is what I know, when approaching an airline I think, it is usually by a vendors contract bid to operate as their ground transportation provider, once locked in, I believe they have a starting date and finish date and expected fixed price structure and insurance coverage minimums. The best practice would be to reach out to your local airport airline manager or maybe via linkedin and ask how to bid for those contracts and be ready to seat on the big man table to expose your offer. Insurance coverage for pilots isn’t low (duh), this is just a suggestion… I don’t have any contracts with airlines so I speak from what little I know about contracts

Cleaning deposit plus miles and wear and tear. About 3 to 5 bucks a mile. About a 200 bucks cleaning deposit up front with half miles upfront. About 200 wear and tear fee. Also a restock fee. Any bottle or food is to be double priced at least. I didn't even watch this

There is no difference between Uber and private limo companies; the same driver could do both with the same car and same outfit; as for the wear and tear, you're not gonna take it all from one client, and they are not responsible for you going back empty, your prices are so overpriced, this is called greed. So why do they call you when they can get the same or a better car (if you have a suburban, they can get escalade, for example, or a navigator) from Uber, most of the time, they order black and they get a black SUV, so it's also cheaper. And there is a hidden gem for pax; luckily, most of them don't know about in Uber, which is black hourly, and it will cost them %40 even cheaper per hour, like $65 per hour in LA. so they can get a luxury black car for 2 hours for just $120. Also, I don't like drivers who steal Uber clients and make them private because this is unfair to all Uber black drivers. After all, it reduces the small number of Uber customers, who already are very few for too many black cars in the market, that's why no one is making enough doing only Uber black.

Bruh, get your own clients then. Your rant obviously shows much ignorance about the level of service from UBER to an excellent personal limo service. Clients are free game. It's not stealing from UBER, it's giving then a better sure thing option.

My son actually answered you with a question! Smart guy. :) This video is 2.5 years old or more Garage to garage charges are 2 hours minimum… it really depends on the clientele Forbes 100, 500 etc c level executive will most likely pay more but your cars and service must match. The retired blue collar or medium class will not be as open to this model and this is when we gotta be flexible. Please note: it is not one size fits all, eventually if you are able to capture clients good job, pricing is accordingly to their budget and your profit margins. Stay classy
