Thank you this is exactly what I needed. I have the same issues with my fiberglass front door. Outstanding video 👍👏

Glad it helped! Nothing says "welcome home" like a correctly primed and painted front door. 😄 Hopefully you and I won't have to do this again for at least 15 years (saying that as I ignored the peeling paint for at least 5 years--maybe more--and I'm 99% sure this paint job is at least a bit higher quality than the last two). Thanks for stopping by and adding the compliment!

Ahh, the joys of watching paint dry quickly, but not the bad Summertime oven kind! That and Floetrol limiting the flaws.

Great video! This is going to help me 😁I’m about to sand, prime and paint my brand new fiberglass entry door.I’ve painted inside many times in past. Never this project. So your video’s are helpful😁I’m going to try Floetrol also👍

Great video! I am contemplating doing this to my door. My door (and side panels) are fiberglass. Only thing is, they look to be stained and not painted. Wondering if this would work to removing the stain? Was also thinking perhaps of just thoroughly cleaning the door, putting a coat of primer over the existing door stain and then painting it. That would be easier, I think.

I'm not sure about stain...or if paint stripper like the one I used in the step before this would have any effect at all. At least sanding would rough up the surface and give primer something more to grab onto and stay longer. I hope your project goes well and curious what approach ends up working best for you!

do you put the floetrol in the paint>

Yes, we did. Just a little goes a long way, but it made the paint so very nice and smooth. You can still see some brush strokes, but it is more of a wavy finish than more abrupt bristle marks, if that explanation makes sense.
