www.easysewingf... shows you how print on fabric with your inkjet printer and freezer paper at home. In this video you will see step by step instructions for printing on fabric along with a tip about what I do to make the fabric retain more of the ink when it has been washed as well.
You can find the blog post for this tutorial here - www.easysewingf...
In this video I am using an Epson XP-410 and I highly recommend this printer. You can find it on *Amazon here: amzn.to/1zNmxEW
You can also use any of the other Epson printers that have the Durabrite ink.
I also recommend using the Durabrite ink with this printer as it is made to be colourfast and smudge resistant. You can find that on *Amazon here: amzn.to/1CqyO2A
You can also find Retayne on Amazon here* : amzn.to/20hLD9u or eBay here* :rover.ebay.com/...

Thanks for the tips. I'm just waiting overnight for the ink to dry and then will do the extra "Retayne" step you recommended. My most challenging step was getting my printer to pick up the thicker & smaller paper with the fabric attached. In the end I removed all the paper from my paper tray and left only the 1 piece of freezer paper with the fabric. And that worked. This will make printing quilt labels a much easier process.

About 12 years ago I made a king sized quilt using this method. It was made up of photographs of a group of people who knew the recipient, as well as quotations that reflected the recipient. It was a beauty I must admit, tho lots of work because of the size. I found the most difficult part was removing the fabric from the freezer paper once it was printed. I've since made two other smaller memory quilts using the same method.

I use Whole 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of printer label I just peel off the paper and stick it to my fabric and trim my fabric to exact size of printer label this takes care of teh frayed edges. I had problems with trying to get the freezer paper to stick good enough. This works perfect. I get my labels from amazon and can catch them for 8.99 for 100 totally worth it not to mess up your printer with fabric that has come loose from the freezer paper
